Elder Cheng stood with his hands clasped behind his back.
He tilted his head slightly, looking up at the enormous Mecha before him.
A flicker of pride crossed his eyes.
Ever since taking Xu Cheng as his disciple three years ago, he had also been drawn to some of the boy's unconventional ideas.
Leaving aside orbital satellites, there was Xu Cheng's outrageous "Rod of God" proposal: using a satellite to fire a beam all the way down to bombard the ground. (Tang San could not pull that off for now.)
His original "mechanical exoskeleton attachment" technology had also been superseded by the "large-scale Mecha project" Xu Cheng had mentioned.
After all, what boy could resist the allure of a giant Mecha like this...
This Mecha was the product of his own research.
He had kept it from Xu Cheng only because he wanted to surprise him.
"It's driven by spiritual power, and its Soul Power reserves can be charged beforehand using a [Milk Bottle]. There are no button controls. Once you establish a neural link with its central processor, you can pilot it. Its advantage is its formidable combat power. I've provisionally classified this Mecha as a Level 9 Soul Tool. At full output, it can unleash combat power on par with a Super Douluo."
Elder Cheng rubbed his chin.
"But its shortcomings are obvious too. Since this is the first independently developed Mecha, although it runs on Soul Power, achieving combat power at that level-a Super Douluo's-requires extremely high reaction speed and responsiveness. In other words, it needs an immense amount of spiritual power to support it. Otherwise, in an ordinary person's hands, it's nothing but scrap metal..."
As he spoke, Elder Cheng shook his head with a hint of regret.
"At the very least, you're not ready yet..."
