He looked at the boy on the ground, as insignificant as an ant, yet still standing ramrod straight.
Even facing a god, he showed no fear.
He was an honest man, unlike a certain shameless bastard with a fork. He had not descended to the mortal realm in all these years, nor even taken a peek, so he was utterly clueless about the current state of the Douluo Continent plane.

"Oh, some guy carrying a fork asked if I wanted to take his trial." Xu Cheng shrugged, utterly unconcerned.

The surging, churning aura around the God of Destruction faltered instantly as he asked rather nervously.
"Oh, I turned him down," Xu Cheng said casually.
"That was a chance to become a god!" Destruction frowned.
"I'm a very good judge of character." Xu Cheng smiled. "He might call himself pure as driven snow, a gentleman of impeccable virtue, but beneath that fine exterior is rotten stuffing. He's rotten to the bone, and his heart is black too. If I actually believed his bullshit, I'd either end up in the Divine Realm as his dog, or..."
Destruction's eyes widened. "Or what?"
"Nothing good, either way." Xu Cheng shrugged.
