The Princess Mausoleum looked little different from before, but the growing number of wandering spirits made the area increasingly eerie.
Yanbai sat with the two children on the terrace outside the mausoleum.
After listening to the two children describe the other world, Yanbai smiled and stroked their heads. "The girl you saw is a god. She means no harm, so don't worry too much."

Yanbai sighed. "You can think of me as a god with no control over his own fate. I won't die easily, but neither can I easily leave this world."
He could only watch helplessly as the people around him died one after another. He could not stop time from passing in this world, nor could he keep those around him from dying.
