Yanbai had been bored lately.
Sasori talked to the "Raiden Shogun" every day, treating it like his daughter.
Yanbai had no particular feelings about that. It was none of his business.
But every time Yanbai appeared in front of Sasori...
Sasori would tell the "Raiden Shogun" with a perfectly natural expression, "Your mother's here."
That left Yanbai utterly speechless.
Yanbai suspected Sasori was getting back at him.
After all, once Yanbai had gotten Sasori to sign a one-year contract, he had also introduced overtime pay.
Originally, Yanbai had seen Sasori working overtime of his own accord and felt guilty about not paying him extra for it.
Sasori already worked overtime voluntarily. With overtime pay on top of that, he worked even harder.
Once a delicate, handsome youth, Sasori now looked prematurely aged, with deep, dark circles under his eyes. Every day, he muttered to himself like some obsessive creep and slept very little, all so he could squeeze in a few more hours of work.
So Yanbai no longer kept an eye on Sasori all the time. It made him uncomfortable.
And so... Yanbai came to the school to visit Obito, only to find Rin Nohara with him!
Yanbai had first gone to see Obito's homeroom teacher and learned that Obito was in the infirmary, so he had teleported straight over using the Flying Thunder God Mark he had previously left there.
He just hadn't expected to find Rin Nohara visiting Obito.
He had assumed these two children would get along as warmly and harmoniously as they had in their original fate.
But judging by Yanbai's experience reading people...
Rin was actually giving Obito the "you're a nice guy" speech.
Was Obito's love life about to hit a home run?
But this was the school infirmary, not a love hotel!
