Root, Danzo's office.
Shimura Danzō spread out the Medical Textbook Leaf Dragon had submitted and examined it carefully.
He had skimmed through it earlier, while Leaf Dragon was reporting on the Medical Department's work.
The Shimura Clan had some knowledge of medicine. When the village was first founded, they had even competed with the Senju Clan for control of the Medical Department, hoping to take over Konoha's medical services. Unfortunately, their proposal had been rejected. (Foreshadowed in chapter ten.)
Although Shimura Danzō knew only a little about medicine and could not use Medical Ninjutsu, that did not stop him from recognizing the book's importance.
Its fundamentals were simple and easy to learn, making it an excellent textbook.
It covered every aspect of medicine in detail, organizing medical knowledge with extraordinary care. The first aid sections even included vivid, hand-drawn illustrations.
If they made copies in bulk and taught from it at the Ninja Academy, Konoha could soon produce a group of ninja versed in battlefield first aid, greatly improving the survival rate of Konoha ninja.
That was why, even when he had been exploding with anger earlier, Shimura Danzō had made a point of sparing this textbook.
However, there was one problem-
The handwriting.
The handwriting in the first half of the textbook clearly imitated Uchiha Ichiro's.
From the writing habits to the strokes of the pen, it was a perfect reproduction, indistinguishable from Yilong's annotations back when he had been in charge.
Leaf Dragon's ability to imitate others really was absurdly good.
That also means his relationship with Yilong may be closer than I imagined.
But the second half...
The handwriting was entirely neat and rigid, like printed type, without a trace of life-as though it had come out of a printing press.
Shimura Danzō closed his eyes and
