Black Zetsu's expression was savage, but there was no fear on his face. How could he possibly not have prepared a countermeasure for a Sealing Jutsu as famous as the Reaper Death Seal?
Uchiha Ichiro was dumbstruck too, but not because of what Tobirama Senju had done. Ever since learning that he had handcrafted a Rinnegan, Uchiha Ichiro had felt that anything Tobirama Senju came up with was perfectly normal.
What shocked him was the system in his mind turning into a ball of light and charging out to give the Shinigami a resounding smack across the face. The Shinigami's face abruptly twisted to a bizarre angle.
Neither Tobirama Senju nor Black Zetsu seemed to notice anything amiss. Their eyes were fixed on each other, and even Black Zetsu, who faced the Shinigami directly, merely glanced at his suddenly crooked face. He found it strange, but said nothing, completely unaware of the system's appearance.
The ball of system light floated leisurely back, as though nothing had happened.
"What... are you doing?"
"Carrying out your command. You previously requested that I give the Shinigami a good slap when I saw him... huh? Did I do something wrong?"
"No, great job! Go give him a few more."
Uchiha Ichiro's long-buried memory gradually resurfaced. Right, the system had just loaded its Emotional Module back then, and he had made an offhand joke. He had to give the system credit for remembering it this long. (See chapter 39 for details.)
If the system could overpower the Shinigami, all the better. It looked like he wouldn't have to struggle to wrest souls out of the Shinigami's hands, or bring Orochimaru along to exploit a bug.
And Rinne Rebirth is online now. Go wild, Teacher Tobirama. I've got you covered.
Uchiha Ichiro was tired of standing.
