After exchanging a few words with everyone, Su Bai was invited to Elder Shen's office.
Despite his advanced age and prestigious position, the old man's office was nothing more than an ordinary consultation room on the third floor. It was simply tucked off to one side, where it was a little quieter.
A sign outside the consultation room read "Human and Pokémon Department."
"Elder Shen, this Human and Pokémon Department..."
"I came up with it myself. If I put up a Life Sciences Emergency Room sign, people would trample my door down."
Faced with the hope of survival, people became both frantic and confused. If Elder Shen put "Life Sciences Emergency Room" outside his door, anyone with a seemingly serious condition would force their way into his consultation room, no matter what was actually wrong.
Then those whose lives were truly in danger and who needed help might suffer because they could not receive treatment in time.
Elder Shen welcomed Su Bai into his office and poured him a cup of hot water. He also filled a small dish with pink honey for Su Bai to add himself. Apparently, it was nectar from an Elite Four Level Lurantis.
Su Bai did not like drinking hot water, so he simply dipped a small spoon into the nectar and tasted it. It was delicious, with an intoxicating fragrance.
"This really is good stuff. The finest honey is three parts sweetness and seven parts fragrance, smooth without being cloying."
"If you like it, take a jar with you when you leave."
"Thank you, Elder Shen."
With that, Su Bai placed Pikachu on the desk. Pikachu happily hugged the dish and began licking it with little flicks of its tongue.
