When the two returned to the Pokémon Home, Bai Xiyue had already arrived.
Changpu was busy greeting customers.
The two beauties seemed to have coordinated their outfits that day.
Both wore short hot pants, hidden beneath oversized cartoon T-shirts so that it looked as though they wore nothing underneath. Their long, slender, straight legs were especially eye-catching.
Egg Yolk stood on the table, looking left and right before his ears drooped.
He sighed.
"It's so hard to choose! Ah, I'm dying."

He collapsed onto the table.
His adorable expression had both women shaking with giggles!
Qin Feng's face darkened.
What a seasoned humblebragger.
In just one morning, the people coming to draw Pokémon or buy Poké Balls to catch their own had nearly formed a line.
However, almost none spent lavishly on draws like Bai Xiyue and the others had.
Most left it to fate and accepted whatever they drew.
Their luck, however, was clearly much better.
One or two draws were usually enough to get something they liked.
For example, Blastoise, Ralts, Charmander...
Bai Xiyue found this utterly baffling.
On top of that, the price of a draw had now dropped to 120,000.
She felt as though she had been taken for a sucker!
Qin Feng could only laugh awkwardly and brush the matter aside.
He couldn't exactly say the system had arranged it, could he?
At noon, a luxury van stopped outside the Pokémon Home.
Bai Xiyue's face lit up, and she hurried outside.
An elderly man with gray hair, neatly groomed despite its age, stepped out of the van.
He wore a plain linen suit and gold-rimmed glasses.
He looked refined and approachable.
"Grandpa Liu, you're finally here!"
Bai Xiyue stepped forward and linked arms with him, then turned toward Qin Feng to introduce him.
"This is Dr. Liu Chen'en, a world-renowned biology expert."
"Grandpa Liu, this is Qin Feng, the owner of the shop I told you about."
Upon hearing Bai Xiyue's introduction, Qin Feng immediately clasped the elderly man's hand respectfully in both of his.
"My name is Qin Feng. As a student, I've long admired your reputation, Dr. Liu."
Liu Chen'en smiled warmly. "Wonderful, wonderful. What an outstanding young man."
Liu Chen'en entered the shop and looked at its decor and everyone's Pokémon.
His eyes filled with fascination.
"I've spent my entire life studying living organisms, but this has truly opened my eyes."
"Our institute's examinations confirmed that these creatures carry no viruses transmissible to humans. They are indeed new species."
"Xiyue told me these little creatures you call Pokémon can battle, too?"
Qin Feng nodded eagerly.
After completing the system mission yesterday, Qin Feng had originally planned to tell Bai Xiyue and Jiang Xiaoyu about the newly unlocked training and battle environments.
But then he reconsidered. Since Dr. Liu was coming,
he might as well stage an actual battle then.
After all, seeing it firsthand would be the most convincing.
Qin Feng rose and gestured invitingly toward the interior of the Pokémon Home.
"Dr. Liu, our shop has a dedicated battle environment. I'll give you a demonstration right now."
He led them to the entrance of the Battle Room.
He opened an inner door, and they passed through a curtain of light into an arena the size of a soccer field.
The Battle Room could also automatically adjust the arena's environment according to the Pokémon's types.
For example, ice, fire, electric, and so on.
Since Jigglypuff wasn't ready to battle yet,
Qin Feng arranged a friendly match between Bai Xiyue's Butterfree and Pikachu.
Dr. Liu grew increasingly excited and curious.
His eyes shone as he watched Pikachu and Butterfree take their positions on opposite sides of the arena.
"Just give Butterfree commands based on when you think it should attack or defend."
"This is your first time, after all. You only need to get a feel for it, so don't be too nervous."
Bai Xiyue nodded.
Though she wasn't nervous, she certainly felt a little eager.

Qin Feng gave the first command. "Egg Yolk, use Thunderbolt Punch!"
After receiving the command, Egg Yolk cried, "Pika!"
He dropped onto all fours and charged toward Butterfree.
Butterfree hovered blankly in the air, repeatedly turning its little head toward Bai Xiyue, seemingly waiting for her command.
But Bai Xiyue was clearly a little dazed.
Just as Pikachu was about to reach Butterfree, Bai Xiyue shouted, "Butterfree, Pollen Attack!"
Butterfree instantly climbed higher.
Its black-and-white wings beat furiously.
Streams of fluorescent powder swept toward Pikachu on the wind.
Dr. Liu's eyes went wide, his lips trembling as they parted slightly.
"This... this is simply unbelievable!"
To him, the creatures before his eyes not only possessed extraordinary intelligence,
but also the strange abilities of the exotic beasts described in ancient myths.
This completely overturned Liu Chen'en's understanding of biology.
Jiang Xiaoyu was also utterly stunned.
Jigglypuff's ability to Sing had already amazed her.
Now, watching Pokémon battle left her astonished and even set her blood racing.
She finally truly understood what Qin Feng had meant when he spoke of Pokémon battles.
But when she lowered her head to look at Jigglypuff in her arms, she wondered whether, apart from being able to Sing, she could actually fight.
Jiang Xiaoyu had her doubts. After all, Jigglypuff really did look completely harmless!
Bai Xiyue's brief hesitation had also been caused by shock.
But as Pikachu approached Butterfree, she regained her composure and decisively gave her command.
For the first time, she experienced working together with Butterfree.
The sense of accomplishment and fulfillment in Bai Xiyue's heart was irreplaceable.
The seeds of becoming excellent Trainers had quietly been planted in both women's hearts.
With his first attack unsuccessful, Pikachu retreated.
Qin Feng didn't order Pikachu to use Thunderbolt, either.
After all, it was a friendly match, intended only as a demonstration.
There was no need to worry too much about winning or losing.
"Young Qin Feng, might I purchase a Pokémon?"
Liu Chen'en looked at Qin Feng hopefully as he asked.
Jiang Xiaoyu smiled. "Of course, Dr. Liu! If you buy one, Boss Qin might even give you a discount."
Qin Feng smiled and scratched his head.
But she wasn't wrong.
If Liu Chen'en could establish connections with the Official Authorities and help advance the Pokémon enterprise, what would be wrong with Qin Feng giving him one?
Qin Feng believed he could at least see the bigger picture.
In the end, Liu Chen'en insisted on paying 120,000, drew a Spearow, and left thoroughly satisfied.
Before leaving, he even thumped his chest and promised that he would do everything he could to advance the Pokémon enterprise.
However, after Dr. Liu Chen'en left, two uninvited guests arrived at the Pokémon Home.
One of them was none other than Ye Chen!
