The National Security Bureau was located in the suburbs of Jiangning, inside a standalone building.
The sentries at the gate were all armed to the teeth, which showed just how important the place was.
Inside the interrogation room, a man and a woman sat across from Qin Feng, pens and paper in hand.
"Name?"
"Qin Feng, 20 years old, student at Jiangning University, registered address 58 Yangming Street, Jiangning..." Qin Feng rattled off his information in one breath.
The female official who had spoken twitched the corner of her mouth slightly, then set down her pen.
"Since you're so cooperative, you might as well confess on your own."
The male official casually lit a cigarette. "When you confess, be sure to be upfront about your motive and purpose."
Qin Feng sneered. "I have nothing to confess. I just keep a pet. I haven't broken any laws, and I haven't hurt anyone. I can't figure out what's worth mobilizing all of you like this."
The female official crossed her arms and crossed her legs, then said flatly:
"Unauthorized gene modification violates the Biosafety Law. Modifying a gene species-that's no small matter. That's a heinous crime against humanity!"
"I never imagined someone your age could harbor such intentions!"

Just then, the interrogation room door opened.
