Stelle watched Aventurine leave the room. Then she suddenly froze before turning around warily to look at the coffee table nearby.
On the coffee table stood a cold, pitch-black hound statue, which seemed to cast a piercing gaze at her.
Stelle narrowed her eyes slightly, finding it strange. If she remembered correctly, there had been no such ornament on the coffee table when she had entered the room with Aventurine.
But in the very next instant, the hound statue before Stelle suddenly distorted and vanished. It seemed to have been swallowed by the Memory Zone, as though it had never appeared there at all.
Yet a subtle sense of strangeness still clung to Stelle. She frowned slightly, feeling as though the gaze from the hound statue had not faded along with its disappearance. Something invisible seemed to be hiding in their surroundings, its cold gaze lingering on her for a long time.
"What's wrong?"
Black Swan's voice came from beside her, jolting Stelle out of that strange sensation.
