Background / History

Awakening at Herta Space Station

Kafka inserts the Stellaron into Stelle before leaving Herta Space Station with Silver Wolf. Dan Heng and March 7th find her, with March interrupting Dan Heng’s attempt to administer mouth-to-mouth. Soon afterward, Jiang Yu crashes into the station, knocks Stelle down, and helps her back to her feet. Stelle has no memories of her past and initially understands little of her surroundings 2 10.

March escorts her toward the Master Control Zone while Dan Heng and Jiang Yu search for Arlan. Stelle acquires a bat and fights alongside March before the groups reunite at a broken elevator. The four then cooperate against the Antimatter Legion and meet Himeko after returning to safety 4 5 6.

During the Doomsday Beast battle, Stelle attacks its right hand while her companions engage its other components. When the mortally wounded beast fires a final antimatter jet at Jiang Yu, she places herself between them. Her Stellaron destroys the attack and the beast, but its power runs out of control after Nanook notices her. Jiang Yu reaches her, covers her eyes, and soothes her into unconsciousness while suppressing the rampage 11 12 13.

The Horrific Maze Mission

After recovering, Stelle tests Herta’s Simulated Universe. She encounters representations of Qlipoth and Fuli and sees a disturbing vision of herself taking Nanook’s form. Jiang Yu then contacts her for help negotiating his remaining three-hundred-million-Credit debt 16 17.

Asta offers to waive the debt if they retrieve Curio #1145, the Horrific Maze. Stelle initially intends to rush in with a jumping bat strike, but Jiang Yu persuades her to research the Curio first. They obtain its files, learn to use the containment equipment, and enter the maze together 18 19 20 22.

Stelle destroys a giant illusory Warp Trotter, only to find that it drops no Stellar Jade. The maze’s later ghostly illusions frighten her and make her believe Jiang Yu has been possessed. Jiang Yu’s mockery ultimately breaks the Curio’s composure and collapses its maze; Stelle then joins him in stomping on it before they deliver it to Asta 23 24 25.

Joining the Astral Express

Stelle chooses adventure over remaining on the space station, whose exhausted staff and repetitive work hold little appeal for her. Recalling Kafka’s instruction to make her own choice, she accepts Himeko’s invitation and boards the Astral Express with Jiang Yu 18 28.

March gives the newcomers a tour, and Stelle chooses the third guest room, beside Jiang Yu’s. Their first destination is Jarilo-VI, but a Stellaron-related spatial anomaly forces the Express to stop indefinitely 30 33 34.

Jarilo-VI and Belobog

Himeko assigns Stelle, Jiang Yu, March 7th, and Dan Heng to find the Stellaron responsible for Jarilo-VI’s disasters. Crossing the frozen wilderness, Stelle fights Fragmentum creatures and supports Jiang Yu’s proposal to turn captured elemental creatures into useful heating products 34 35 38 43.

She initially welcomes Sampo, then confronts him after he attempts to abandon the group. Gepard subsequently escorts the outsiders to Belobog and brings them before Cocolia 42 45 46 48.

During the audience, Stelle enthusiastically announces that they have come to Trailblaze the planet. The squad explains its Stellaron investigation, and Cocolia promises assistance before arranging hotel accommodation and postponing further discussion until the next day. Unlike Dan Heng, Stelle notices nothing suspicious and leaves pleased by the Supreme Guardian’s apparent kindness 50.

Appearance

• Build: Tall, repeatedly described as a beauty 2 13 16.
• Hair: Gray, giving rise to the nickname “Little Grey Hair” 13 24.
• Eyes: Golden 18 24 37.
• Face: Described as kitten-like while she studies the station’s unfamiliar machinery 4.

Personality

Stelle is curious and readily impressed by unfamiliar sights and technology. She pauses with Jiang Yu to admire the stars and reacts enthusiastically to the possibility of Asta buying a Star Destroyer. Her preference for exploration over the space station’s monotonous work drives her decision to join the Express 10 17 18.

Her self-proclaimed “Galaxy Bat Hero” identity reflects both confidence and a playful sense of heroism. She imagines the name becoming famous across the universe, calls the Express crew cosmic heroes fighting for justice, and sometimes repeats her companions’ words or mannerisms. After seeing Jiang Yu’s combat performance, she mutters his “No matter. I’ll handle it” line to herself in admiration 6 18 34 37 43.

She is fearless against visible enemies but considerably less comfortable with ghostly scares. The Horrific Maze’s enormous monsters look like prey to her, while its whispers, cold gusts, and possession illusions provoke genuine panic. She is also trusting toward people she has just met, initially viewing both Sampo and Cocolia favorably 23 24 42 50.

Abilities & Skills

Stellaron Vessel

Stelle’s unusual constitution allows a Stellaron to remain inside her and operate stably—something Herta considers remarkable 15.

• Channels its power through her body and bat during combat 22 38.
• Briefly gains extraordinary speed when intercepting the Doomsday Beast’s antimatter jet 12.
