Stelle was interested in plenty of things, but what interested her most was what her companions had dreamed about in the Dream of Taiyi.
Dan Heng's answer was as serious and earnest as ever:
"I dreamed that the Express passed through one station after another. People came, people left, but the six of us were always there. The journey seemed as though it would never end.
"Perhaps that's what I long for deep down. When I realized that... I knew it wasn't real."
That dream had an entirely different feel from Little March's shopping and eating spree. Little Raccoon was so touched that she wanted to grab Dan Heng and sing "Friends' Wine" with him.
Next, Stelle found their beloved Uncle Yang and asked what he had dreamed about in the Dream of Taiyi, as though she were conducting a survey.
Old Yang replied gently, "It's somewhat difficult to put into words. In that boundless dream, I was able to return to my homeland and reunite with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. And for certain special reasons... I thought of Miss Acheron.
"When I discovered that my memories held no record of how her story ended, I realized the bitter truth."
Uncle Yang's past was always shrouded in mystery, and none of them knew all that much about his homeland. Still, Stelle had no intention of prying. When she first boarded, Pom-Pom had already told her that everyone aboard the Express had secrets of their own, to one degree or another.
After saying goodbye to Uncle Yang, Stelle eagerly ran over to Jiang Yu. Out of habit, she asked what he had dreamed about in the Dream of Taiyi, but once the question left her mouth, she froze, feeling as though she had asked something utterly pointless.
