Realizing that learning swordsmanship seemed rather difficult to wriggle out of, March 7th still wanted to put up one last struggle. She said pointedly:
"Thank you for your kindness, General Huaiyan... but Yunli and Yanqing are both participating in the Wardance. If they have to turn around and teach me swordsmanship now, won't that take far too much time away from their training and preparations?
"Besides, I heard swordsmen all have their own secret moves. If they accidentally reveal those while teaching me, and everyone learns each other's tricks, won't they be unable to get past each other's defenses?"
March 7th's idea was lovely, but reality gave that lovely idea a resounding slap.
Of her two peers on the Luofu, Yunli felt that Jiang Yu was so strong it was hopeless, while beating Yanqing was no easy task either. If she could even the score by teaching a disciple, that would be pretty good.
Besides, she was quite interested in teaching a disciple.
So the girl spoke up directly:
"You're quite considerate, March 7th. Don't worry. You wouldn't get to learn any secret moves without ten years or so of diligent practice anyway. There's nothing to be afraid of. With how powerful Zhuming Swordsmanship is, just learning a few moves from me will benefit you for life."
"R-really?" Although it sounded like hard work, March 7th was starting to feel tempted. After all, she had always fought with a bow, and things inevitably got a little awkward whenever an enemy closed in.
If she could learn a few sword techniques...
March 7th couldn't help imagining an opponent charging into close range after seeing her bow, only to discover that her swordsmanship was excellent too. The frustrated look on their face would be priceless.
"Looks like March 7th is completely sold,"
