At lunchtime, the young witches and wizards of Hogwarts bustled about once more.
Thanks to Flint's Quidditch tactics, the little peacock sat obediently in his seat and ate, rather than running over to Harry to show off.
Yes, they intended to use Draco as their secret weapon, too, disrupting Wood's tactical plans.
A confrontation was averted before it could begin.
Thank you, Flint!
Allen sighed inwardly, smiled gently at the Muggle-borns looking at him expectantly, and took a serving of fried fishcakes.
He had deliberately returned to the Common Room for a short nap, then carefully chosen a dark gray suit-
It was Edward's favorite color, and it also lent Allen an air of composure.
The blond Crown Prince meticulously smoothed every crease, selected a dark green silk ribbon three fingers wide, carefully tied it into a bow, and added a pair of Emerald cufflinks to his shirt.
The enchanted mirror sang his praises extravagantly-
"How perfect you are, noble little prince! Your golden hair is like the light of midsummer. Just look at that immaculate bearing...
"This dark gray suit is exquisite. Look at that crisp tailoring! It makes your figure look so tall and slender. Simply marvelous!"
"Of course, if you were to add a jeweled brooch to your chest-
"No one could rival you today! You would draw every eye!"
Draco finally burst out laughing.
Allen rubbed his forehead. "Shut up-I mean the mirror-I'm not going to a formal dinner!"
He paused before the accessories stand, but finally took out the royal coat of arms and pinned it neatly to his chest.
The little peacock looked him up and down and gave a reluctant nod. "It's very nice, but... isn't it a little too understated?"
Allen let out a long sigh. "My dear Draco, I'm not going to a formal dinner!"
Under the little peacock's puzzled gaze, he explained, "The Royal Family has a great many rules, including requirements for what its members wear on various occasions.
"If I dared wear evening attire to meet my people, I wouldn't get any pocket money this year."
Draco snorted with laughter. "Honestly, your Father King. They're only a bunch of peasants. Are they really worth punishing you over?"
The sea-blue eyes instantly darkened. "Draco! Watch your words!"
Draco angrily shut his mouth, rolled over, and lay down on the bed.
A moment later, the little peacock sat up again. "Allen Cornwall! Get out!"
Allen sneered. "Mr. Malfoy, I think you need to understand where I draw the line! In this regard, you ought to learn from your father-
"Strive for Malfoy's glory, rather than squander it!"
"What did you say? How dare you!"
Draco sprang to his feet, his gray-blue eyes blazing with fury.
A moment later, he said through gritted teeth, "Malfoy's glory will endure forever! There's no need for the Muggle Crown Prince to concern himself! You'd do better to look after those stupid Mudbloods!"
Allen's expression was cold as he advanced on him, step by step, his presence intimidating.
Under that pressure, the peacock's bluster faltered, and he backed away involuntarily until he tripped onto the bed.
Allen lowered his gaze slightly to the platinum-haired boy who had stumbled into a sitting position on the bed, bent down, and rather roughly seized his collar, hauling him halfway up.
Panic flooded those gray-blue eyes. The platinum peacock looked fearfully at the terrifying Allen, as though he were looking at a stranger.
This stranger spoke with cold words and a low, heavy voice. Draco's limbs went weak, and he dared not struggle in the slightest.
"Why do you never learn your lesson? Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough in potions class and flying class?"
"I told you that the necessary composure and a little courage are wiser than a group brawl. Now, let me tell you something else-"
"Before you provoke someone, take a good look at your own strength! Draco, remember your true objective, just as you did during the Quidditch tryouts. Stop letting your emotions lead you around!
"As you are now, you can't be called a worthy Malfoy, or even a worthy Slytherin!"
"Today, I'm the one holding you by the collar. Next time, it could be anyone!"
The blond Crown Prince's expression remained cold as he threw the platinum-haired boy onto the bed, adjusted his cuffs, and said icily, "Excuse me."
This was the first time Draco had ever seen Allen like this.
-Because he had insulted Allen's people.
The platinum peacock finally learned that the Muggle Crown Prince really could get angry.
He heard Allen close the door and collapsed weakly onto the bed, gasping violently, his heart pounding in terror.
So all these days, he had been acting spoiled in front of someone like this?
Draco closed his eyes and raised an arm to cover them as a profound sense of defeat welled up inside him.
He could not refute a single word Allen had said!
He pounded the bed viciously and sat upright, tears spilling from his gray-blue eyes.
-Malfoy's glory would never be tarnished because of him! He, Draco Malfoy, would become the most outstanding head the Malfoy family had ever known!
