Back at the Crouch family's home, Shawn had performed a little procedure before letting Barty Crouch Jr. leave, taking care not to attract the attention of Voldemort, a legendary wizard.

The magical restriction Shawn had cast was exceptionally well concealed.

Unless he abandoned that experiment and activated the restriction early, he had no way of determining whom Barty Crouch Jr. had disguised himself as.

Shawn was now mainly debating whether to join forces with Tom and Dumbledore and storm Riddle House immediately to capture Voldemort alive.

But he dismissed the idea after another moment's thought. Voldemort really was in a somewhat invincible state. Fighting him before completely destroying all his Horcruxes would simply be a waste of effort.

Either Tom had to develop a curse capable of trapping the main soul completely.

Or Tom had to sever his soul connection with Voldemort, after which they could deal with Harry and the other Horcruxes.

Otherwise, there really was nothing they could do about Old Voldy for now. At most, they could beat him into a sorry state and strip him of his dignity.

"Draco, take Harry back to the dormitory to rest."

After giving that instruction, Shawn turned and continued downstairs. Harry came to his senses and roared from Draco's arms.

"Chief, tell me! That boy meant me, didn't he? That was Voldemort, wasn't it? Why can Voldemort and I see through the same eyes?"

Shawn paused. These questions really weren't his to explain to Harry. He waved a hand behind him and offered a perfunctory answer.

"Go ask Headmaster Dumbledore. He'll give you a reasonable explanation."

Having passed the problem on, Shawn made his way to the Great Hall. From a distance, he spotted the burly Neville leading a contingent of the School Discipline Inspection Team into a side corridor.
