• A milky-white crystal in Loki’s chest consumed the black-green glow and rebuilt his heart, and Loki opened his eyes as memories surfaced.
• In a memory, the young Shawn Black was beaten by Boss Glan’s thugs for protection money until he nearly died.
• Shawn awakened mysterious powers, hurled the thugs away, and used a floating dagger to sever their hands’ and feet’s tendons.
• Shawn left the slum and, the next day, performed a card trick for a little girl in central London, earning a lollipop.
• Shawn savored the lollipop and began his new life as a rising magician in London.

Shawn’s memories recounted his rise in the wizarding world and the bonds he formed with his followers, friends, and mother. After discovering that the Energy Core could be merged through a magic array, he began absorbing it and learned that it carried information about its true nature.

Shawn Black destroyed the Church’s sacrifice ritual, defeated Herpo the Foul, and forced the surviving wizarding leaders to submit to his rule. After issuing orders for the surrendered wizards and Awen’s people, he sensed activity in the Hall of Death and vanished.

• Shawn Black interrupted the sacrifice ritual at the Church, destroying its magic array as Howard realized God could be challenged.
• Shawn confronted Herpo the Foul and trapped him in the Eight Thunderbolt Dragons Prison, leaving only Theodore’s soul behind.
