The two Destroyers spotted Thor as he walked out and headed straight toward him, firing heat beams from their faces simultaneously.
Having learned his lesson, Loki, who was controlling them from afar, did not dare waste any more words. He went straight for the kill.
Just as the heat beams were about to strike, a bolt of lightning descended from the sky and landed in their path. Fierce lightning erupted from that spot, colliding with both beams.
Watching from distant Asgard, Loki sprang to his feet the moment he saw the person standing in front of Thor. Even his voice trembled.
"That's impossible!"
The lightning and heat beams canceled each other out, sending a wave of scorching air rippling outward.
Thor raised an arm to shield himself and staggered back several steps before finally getting a clear look at the person before him. His mouth formed an O, and shock surged through his heart!
It was actually one of the young men who had just appeared and helped him deal with that Destroyer-and he was holding Mjolnir in his right hand!
Jane and the others did not react too strongly to the sight. At most, they were surprised that Mercer had appeared again, now wearing armor that made him look even more handsome.
Thor and his companions, however, were a different story. They all knew that no one could lift that hammer now.

Throughout Asgard, and even the Nine Realms, Thor was the only person besides Odin who could lift it.
No one else could even budge it, much less pick it up.
Yet now, the young man whose accompanying "bodyguard" had effortlessly dealt with the Destroyer was smiling as he tossed Thor's hammer
