The mountains rose and fell like coiled dragons, ancient trees covered the land, and mist wound between the peaks like drifting ribbons. Amid the billowing clouds and radiant haze, auspicious beasts could be seen coming and going.
The lake beside them reflected the blue sky and white clouds, only for spirit fish to shatter those reflections a moment later. Ripples spread into the distance, and the water shimmered with life.
"What a wonderful place to cultivate. Even from a distance, it feels as though an immortal paradise could be no better."
Someone stood atop a mountain, gazing into the distance, and could not help exclaiming in wonder.
"Of course. A legacy that has survived since ancient times naturally has profound foundations. What we see now is merely a single hair on nine oxen."
A companion beside the speaker could not help agreeing, eyes filled with longing. If they could join and cultivate here, who knew how much faster their progress would be?
More and more travelers appeared along the road. A broad avenue cut through the mountain range, where vicious beasts were nowhere to be seen. Everywhere they looked, there were spirit beasts instead, and at the end of the road stood an enormous stone stele.
Upon it, the words "Heaven Mending Pavilion" stood out in bold calligraphy, the strokes coiling like dragons and serpents.
As spiritual light flickered, a majestic aura as vast as the starry cosmos washed over them, like a divine being standing in the nine heavens and looking down upon the crowd.
Beyond the stone stele lay the grounds of the Heaven Mending Pavilion, though even here, they were still only on its outskirts.
Amid the crowd, two little figures stood alone, looking around just like everyone else, unable to hide the wonder in their eyes.
