At that moment, the little girl looked incomparably holy. A rain of light scattered from her body, runes enveloped her, and divine radiance surged as she unleashed an astonishing aura.
The next instant, a mass of divine fire emerged from the void. Fierce flames spread outward, their terrifying heat forcing Lin Fan to take a few steps back.
The little girl stood bathed in divine flames, shining brilliantly like a goddess, like a true phoenix reborn in fire.
Then something strange happened. Her arms transformed into a pair of wings covered in red feathers, each crystalline and translucent, as though truly real.
Of course, these were not actual wings, but a manifestation of runes developed to an extraordinarily high level. Yet they were indistinguishable from real wings and possessed immense power.
Clearly, the little girl was unleashing an extremely powerful divine ability. Her face had even turned pale from the tremendous strain.
"Big turkey!" Lin Fan shouted, his eyes wide.
The little girl: "..."
"Cough..." The little girl coughed up a trace of bloody foam. He had truly infuriated her, nearly causing her divine ability to falter and backlash to strike her.
That little brat across from her was utterly infuriating. When had anyone ever insulted her like this? Everyone normally treated her with the utmost respect and courtesy.
Lin Fan picked his nose and continued teasing her. "Big turkey, can you manage it? Don't roast yourself first. I don't eat humanoid creatures."
"Argh... you little brat! I'll tear that filthy mouth of yours apart!" The little girl was practically mad with fury, her gaze sharp as knives and her pearly teeth clenched so hard they ground together.
Even with all her self-restraint, she could no longer keep her heart calm.
"True Phoenix Spreads Its Wings!" she shouted. She spread her arms, and fiery red divine feathers unfurled like a peacock's tail. Each radiated terrifying heat, as though they would burn everything in the world to nothing.
At that moment, the little girl truly resembled a young divine phoenix, beautiful and powerful, poised to spread her wings and soar high into the nine heavens.
"Holy shit, you can even use a Greater Divine Ability like that!" Lin Fan exclaimed in surprise, then sneered. "In that case, don't blame me for showing no mercy. Even if you beg me today, I'll still let you off."
As the powerful divine fire and the Crimson Feather swept toward him, Lin Fan advanced instead of retreating. He openly unleashed the might of the Supreme Bone. His chest glowed, and a cluster of mysterious runes appeared, forming a halo that enveloped him.
Yet something astonishing happened. The power of the divine fire and the Crimson Feather seemed to vanish, dissolving against that halo in a scattering rain of light.
"Is this... the power of a First Generation's Supreme Bone?" The little girl was startled, her little mouth hanging wide open in disbelief.
Her strongest strike had been broken just like that. What sort of innate divine ability was this?
While the little girl stood stunned, Lin Fan had already charged forward. Without hesitation, he swiftly closed the distance while his Precious Art remained in effect.
No matter how she drove her divine abilities, they were all neutralized, like an ox disappearing into the vast sea. None could pierce that curtain of light. It was as though no art could touch him, as though he were immune to every spell.
Moreover, Lin Fan reached her in an instant, his blood energy surging to the heavens and golden light blazing around him. Like a sun, like a true dragon, he bore down on her with supreme divine might.
Shocked, the little girl tried to turn and retreat, but it was too late. They were already within arm's reach. She could not withdraw in time and had no choice but to meet him.
Boom!
Brilliant light erupted between them. Lin Fan swooped down, smashing through one rune after another like rotten wood and withered stalks. His valor was unstoppable, his momentum invincible.
"Bring a thousand divine abilities, and I'll break them all with one punch!" Lin Fan unleashed astonishing power again and again, whipping up fierce winds as he pressed down on her.
"What?!"
The little girl's expression changed. Panic crept across her face, stripping away her composure. Even when she poured all her divine power into defending herself, it was still not enough.
The little boy above her was too powerful. He shattered several curtains of light formed from runes and clashed head-on with her fair palm. There were no fancy tricks-he broke everything with sheer strength!
The little girl wanted to dodge and create some distance rather than fight him hand to hand in a contest of physical strength.
She knew full well that he must have broken past the ultimate limit in the previous realm. His potential was terrifying, and close combat would certainly put her at a disadvantage.
But soon, she fell silent. He seemed to know what she was thinking and gave her no chance whatsoever. Whenever an opening appeared, he pressed close, as though glued to her, impossible to shake off.
Besides, she had just used a Greater Divine Ability that was barely within her reach at her current realm. She still had not recovered, and her depleted reserves could not withstand this relentless onslaught.
Thus, the little girl was driven back again and again, biting her lip as she struggled to endure and defend.
"Let's see how much longer you can hold out!"
They clashed once more. Lin Fan strode across the earth, every inch of him glowing. He remained forceful and domineering, as though his strength were inexhaustible. Delight shone in his eyes, and he looked like a god or demon.
Every movement carried the bearing of a young grandmaster. His blows swept wide and struck hard, needing no finesse as he crushed her with overwhelming force.
At that moment, his demonic nature was fully revealed. He charged straight ahead with utterly unreasonable dominance, smashing through anything that stood in his way!
The little girl's expression grew grave. She had been the one who ambushed him, yet now she was the one being suppressed.
She seemed to understand why the sect had kept him hidden away, and why her master taught him personally. His potential was boundless!
But she would not admit defeat. Otherwise, she would not have sneaked into this place today while her master was away.
Boom!
They collided again, fist striking palm and unleashing endless divine radiance, like divine fire bursting into flame, dazzling and brilliant.
"Oh, you have a method for redirecting force, too?" Lin Fan said in surprise, noticing the earth constantly cracking beneath the little girl's feet, the fractures spreading far into the distance.
She was dissipating some or all of the force of his attacks, channeling it into the void or the ground instead of taking the full impact herself.
"So that's how it is. You know quite a few divine abilities. No wonder you can withstand every clash," Lin Fan murmured.
He was certain that this little girl's standing in the Heaven Mending Sect was far from ordinary. Otherwise, how could she repeatedly unleash such extraordinary Greater Divine Abilities?
"Let's see how many more you can take!"
Lin Fan advanced, growing fiercer with every exchange. Every attack made the surrounding world rumble. His spirit could swallow mountains and rivers, his might without equal!
The little girl's expression changed. She sensed that things had gone terribly wrong. She was consuming divine power faster than she could replenish it. Soon, she would be unable to hold out and would be captured.
"Hehe, can't hold on anymore, little sweetheart?" Lin Fan chuckled, giving her no time to rest or recover as his peerless fists struck.
"Hmph! Who are you calling little sweetheart? You're a little brat younger than me who hasn't even grown all his hair yet, and you dare spout such shameless boasts!" Even at a disadvantage, the little girl remained haughty and refused to bow her head.
"Damn it, a little girl actually looked down on me! How am I supposed to take that?" Lin Fan cursed indignantly.
His fist slammed down, colliding with her luminous white palm. The void itself roared as a dazzling, eye-searing blaze of light erupted.
"Ah..."
The little girl strained, clenching her teeth. Though she redirected some of the force through her feet, her body still shook violently.
This strike was too powerful, exceeding the limit she could currently withstand. The fierce winds tore part of her white clothing, leaving it covered in dust. She had lost her usual air of grace and delicate beauty.
And since she had begun cultivating, this was the first time the little girl had ever found a battle against someone in the same realm so difficult. Her opponent was simply too strong.
