A gentle breeze blew, silent and still.

The Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow, which had terrorized an entire region, was dead-killed by a nine-year-old child. It was utterly unexpected, utterly shocking!

Even the Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow itself could never have imagined that it would die so strangely, without so much as a bone left behind.

"Little Milk Hao, this bird feather is yours." Lin Fan took out a black plume. Dark light shimmered over it as it stood upright like a divine sword, peerlessly sharp.

Whoosh!

The feather felt weightless in Little One's hand. He raised his fair wrist and flicked it, and with only the slightest infusion of power, sword light swept in every direction. It was harder than refined iron.

"What a treasure! Thanks, Brother Fan." Little One was delighted. He especially liked this plume; it was even stronger than the beast-fang treasure he had obtained.

"The Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow's Primal True Feather!" The fiery-red bird was astonished. As a fellow bird, she recognized at a glance that the feather belonged to her mortal enemy.

This was no ordinary feather, but the sole true feather connected to the Primordial Rune Bone. Unless its owner became a True God, it would have only this one in its entire life. It was extraordinarily precious.

Even the people of Stone Village were dumbstruck when they learned this, their mouths hanging so wide they seemed unable to close them.

"Such a powerful creature just... died?!"

They remembered all too clearly how formidable that vicious bird had been. It pierced clouds and rent the heavens, commanding countless beasts with its cries. It and another vicious beast had wiped out numerous clans in the Great Wilderness.

"You really killed the Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow!"

Little Red Bird believed him now. Her eyes went perfectly round, and apprehension rose in her heart.
