Ch. 102A little taste of Shrouding the Heavens shock

Cang Lian asked her master to let her leave the Purple Ruins Universe, but he warned her that the world remained threatened by the foreign Supremes who had won the war beyond the heavens. As they sensed those beings preparing to act, her master tensed and declared that the moment had come.

  • Cang Lian asked her master for permission to venture beyond the heavens, but he refused because the world was still unsafe.
  • Cang Lian recalled the battle more than two thousand years earlier, when a Great Kun and a ferocious beast fought four Supremes and devastated much of the Purple Ruins Universe.
  • Her master revealed that more than two hundred Extreme Dao beings had fought across the Thirty-Three Heavens and that foreign Supremes now watched the worlds from beyond the heavens.
  • Cang Lian's master warned that their world's leaders had invaded an ancient realm, been defeated, and nearly lost all their Extreme Dao beings.
  • Cang Lian's master sensed the foreign beings were about to act and shouted, "Right now!"

Ch. 103The Strange World Welcomed a Life Forbidden Zone

Yuangeng and the Extreme Dao Supremes activated a vast formation that siphoned half the longevity substance from the Thirty-Three Heavens into a new Life Forbidden Zone. The change began killing or aging the Strange World's elderly, and a Supreme recognized that the formation had stolen the roots of longevity.

  • Yuangeng consulted the Heavenly Nether Treasure, which confirmed that the formation was ready to create a new Life Forbidden Zone.
  • After more than two thousand years of preparation, Yuangeng commanded the Supremes to activate the formation, with the Kunlun Immortal Bell serving as its core.
  • The formation drew longevity substance from across the Thirty-Three Heavens, leaving its inhabitants with a chilling sense that the world had changed.
  • Elderly cultivators across the realms rapidly aged and died as their longevity substance dwindled.
  • Canglian saw her master weaken, and he absorbed nearby longevity substance to stabilize himself before identifying the theft as the work of the other world's Supremes.
  • Canglian condemned the Supremes, but her master said they believed their actions were merciful.

Ch. 104A New Forbidden Zone

After the Origin Dao Grand Formation filled the Chaos Continent with longevity substance, the Forbidden Zone Supremes regained their vitality and resolved to pursue cultivation and immortality together. Yuangeng proposed an alliance and gathered their oaths into a Star Stele, establishing a powerful new Forbidden Zone.

  • The Origin Dao Grand Formation drew longevity substance from the Thirty-Three Heavens and spread it across the Chaos Continent.
  • Carefree Heavenly Venerate, Yama Venerable, Beast God, and the other Supremes absorbed the substance and regained youth, vitality, and vast lifespans.
  • The Supremes celebrated their freedom from time's erosion and discussed cultivating, exchanging insights, and striving to become immortals.
  • Yuangeng forged a Star Stele from more than thirty stars and proposed an alliance for the new Forbidden Zone.
  • Qilin Emperor, Kun Emperor, Carefree Heavenly Venerate, Fairy Ruyi, and more than thirty Supremes sealed the alliance by adding their origin blood to the Star Stele.

Ch. 105The Aptitude of a True Immortal

Yuangeng answered the Forbidden Zone Supremes’ questions about immortals and the path beyond the Human Dao. He told them that immortals existed and that they all had the aptitude to become True Immortals.

  • Yuangeng welcomed the Rebirth Venerable, the Prison-Suppressing Emperor, the Yama Venerable, and the Corpse Emperor to his courtyard.
  • The Corpse Emperor asked whether immortals existed, and Yuangeng confirmed that they did.
  • Yuangeng explained that cultivators could enter the Immortal Dao by reaching the Human Dao’s limit and completing the right transformation.
  • The Yama Venerable asked whether Yuangeng had seen a True Immortal, and Yuangeng showed two towering Dharma manifestations.
  • The Prison-Suppressing Emperor asked whether the Supremes could surpass the Human Dao, and Yuangeng said they all possessed the aptitude of a True Immortal.

Ch. 106Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord

Yuangeng advised the forbidden-zone Supremes on paths to immortality and said he would pursue the Red Dust Immortal Path after stabilizing the realm. In the Purple Ruins Universe, Cang Lian learned that a qilin had caused the upheaval a century earlier, as her master stood against a terrifying presence and revealed himself as the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord.

  • Yuangeng told the Underworld Supremes and other forbidden-zone Supremes to pursue the Red Dust Immortal Path or seek the True Immortal and immortality paths, while warning that their damaged Immortal Platforms needed repair.
  • The Corpse Emperor vowed to pursue True Immortality through his own strength, and Yuangeng said he would first stabilize the realm before forging his own immortal Dao.
  • Cang Lian asked her master what had happened a century earlier, and he used a Thirty-Three-Petaled Immortal Flower vision to show an ink-black qilin seizing the Purple Ruins Realm.
  • Cang Lian's master told her to carry on as usual, then drew his golden Dao sword as immense black eyes appeared above the Purple Ruins Universe.
  • Cang Lian recognized her master as the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord as he stood between the watching presence and the realm's inhabitants.

Ch. 107Convergence was inevitable (end of volume)

Yuangeng, the Heng Emperor, confronted the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord in the Purple Ruins Universe and demanded that he lead the surviving cultivators. The Sword Lord accepted after securing passage through the Chaos Gate for his world’s prodigies, leaving the Thirty-Three Heavens to become both a training ground and a potential arena for competition.

  • Yuangeng appeared before the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord, identified his Immortal Tribulation Sword Art, and estimated how many moves it would take him to win.
  • Yuangeng offered the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord leadership of the Thirty-Three Heavens, while the Sword Lord protested that his world had already lost most of its Extreme Dao experts and half its longevity source.
  • Yuangeng explained that the Sword Lord should stabilize the world and encourage cultivation, so cultivators there could train young people from his universe.
  • The Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord agreed to lead but demanded that his world’s prodigies be allowed through the Chaos Gate and permitted to compete for the Heavenly Heart Imprint.
  • Yuangeng accepted the demand and warned that he would show no mercy to anyone who continued to harbor hatred.

Ch. 108Immortal Tribulation Sword Art

Yuangeng obtained the complete Immortal Tribulation Sword Art from the Dark-Gold Little Sword and left for the Life Forbidden Zone. The Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord then told Cang Lian he would gather prodigies to cross the Two-World Gateway and compete for the heavenly heart imprint.

  • Yuangeng and the Heavenly Nether Treasure discussed the Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord’s resentment toward Immortal Master Azure Luan and whether he could be trusted.
  • Yuangeng absorbed the power of the Dark-Gold Little Sword, which crumbled away after imparting the complete Immortal Tribulation Sword Art.
  • Yuangeng praised the sword art as one of the Immortal Ancient Era’s greatest and flew toward the Life Forbidden Zone with the Heavenly Nether Treasure.
  • The Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord recovered from his shock and reassured his disciple, Great Saintess Cang Lian.
  • The Immortal Tribulation Sword Lord asked Cang Lian to assess her standing among Great Saints, then revealed his plan to gather prodigies to compete for the heavenly heart imprint across the Two-World Gateway.

Ch. 109Return, an era of empty forbidden zones

Yuangeng restored the Bashé lineage’s Extreme Dao chain in the Immortalizing Minor World while the universe remained unsettled after the battle near Gou Chen Ancient Star. The Qilin Emperor returned with the bound Heavenly Nether Treasure, which demanded to be released so it could exploit the nearly empty forbidden zones.

  • Yuangeng restored the Bashé chain with divine mark purple gold, and its deity and the Bashé Great Saint thanked him.
  • Yuangeng reassured the Bashé lineage that its Extreme Dao Weapon could help protect its region amid changes to the universe’s order.
  • The Qilin Emperor emerged through the Chaos Gate and handed Yuangeng the Heavenly Nether Treasure.
  • Yuangeng bound the Heavenly Nether Treasure with Lunar Essence immortal chains and kept it in his sleeve.
  • The Heavenly Nether Treasure laughed about returning and urged Yuangeng to release it, claiming it could take advantage of the depleted forbidden zones.

Ch. 110Merely the Heavenly Heart

Yuangeng rejected the Heavenly Nether Treasure’s proposal and considered how to prepare the universe’s next generation of powerful cultivators. He then deliberately destroyed his Heavenly Heart Imprint, stirring the universe’s laws and awakening the remaining Supremes.

  • Yuangeng refused the Heavenly Nether Treasure’s request to remain by his side and decided it could help train future generations instead.
  • Yuangeng and the Qilin Emperor discussed cultivating more powerful successors and studying True Immortal arts.
  • Yuangeng struck his chest and destabilized the Heavenly Heart Imprint, alarming cultivators across the universe.
  • Yuangeng struck again until the Heavenly Heart Imprint disintegrated, then prevented it from reforming on him.
  • Yuangeng sensed that the remaining Supremes had begun to stir after his connection to the Heavenly Heart Imprint broke.

Ch. 111The Remaining Supremes

After the Heng Emperor severed Yuangeng’s connection to the Heavenly Heart Imprint, eight Supremes from the Tyrant Body and Saint Spirit lineages arrived to claim abandoned Life Forbidden Zones. Yuangeng let them choose, and they departed with Burial Heaven Island and the Immortal Mausoleum, leaving the Primordial Ancient Mine untouched.

  • Eight Supremes—three Great Perfection Saint Spirits and five great accomplished Tyrant Bodies—arrived in their true bodies outside the Immortalizing Minor World.
  • Jingfeng and the fire spirit explained that their lineages wanted Life Forbidden Zones, while Yuangeng offered them a chance to cultivate beyond the Chaos Gate.
  • The Supremes rejected Yuangeng’s offer because they distrusted the Chaos Gate and feared it might be a trap.
  • Yuangeng claimed the Primordial Ancient Mine with Lunar Essence Immortal Light and left the other four Life Forbidden Zones available.
  • The Saint Spirit lineage took the Immortal Mausoleum, while the Tyrant Body lineage carried Burial Heaven Island away.

Ch. 112Lord of the Undying Mountain

Yuangeng went to the star where the Enlightenment Tea Tree grew and uprooted its black mountain range, discovering an almost fully gestated Great Perfection Saint Spirit within. He bound the stone creature and held the mountain, later known as the Undying Mountain, in his grasp.

  • Yuangeng discussed the arrogance of the Tyrant Body Lineage and Great Perfection Saint Spirits, then asked the Heavenly Nether Treasure about the declining Golden Body Lineage.
  • Yuangeng left the Chaos Gate and traveled to the life-bearing star where the Enlightenment Tea Tree grew.
  • Yuangeng uprooted the black mountains holding the Enlightenment Tea Tree, revealing an unrivaled dragon vein beneath them.
  • A black battle halberd attacked Yuangeng as a five-zhang stone egg tried to flee from the mountain.
  • Yuangeng bound the nearly mature Great Perfection Saint Spirit with thirty-six Lunar Essence Chains and identified the mountain as the future Undying Mountain.

Ch. 113Stone Emperor: Reform yourself properly

Yuangeng explored the Undying Mountain and discovered an Immortal Tears Green Gold Saint Spirit still in its early gestation. He moved the mountain elsewhere and planned to reform the Stone Emperor or seal him as a future trial for a Dao Prover.

  • Yuangeng suppressed the Stone Emperor inside his stone egg and entered the Undying Mountain with the Heavenly Nether Treasure.
  • Yuangeng found an emerald immortal egg made of immortal tear green gold and judged that its Saint Spirit had only begun developing its secret realms.
  • The Heavenly Nether Treasure asked Yuangeng to let it study the Saint Spirit to help shorten its gestation, and Yuangeng agreed while warning it against scheming.
  • Yuangeng protected the Undying Mountain and the Enlightenment Tea Tree with Lunar Essence chains, then moved the mountain away.
  • Yuangeng tossed the Stone Emperor's egg into a mountain and planned to reform him, sending him to the Strange World if he changed or sealing him if he did not.

Ch. 114Ten Thousand Years in the Mortal World

Ten thousand years after Yuangeng’s rise, his Dao laws finally faded from the Heavenly Heart Imprint, opening the way for a new emperor and a new age of contention. Yuangeng left the Undying Mountain and welcomed the era from the Life Origin Star he had forged, while the future Stone Emperor remained unready to join the coming struggle.

  • Over ten thousand years, the Great Accomplished Tyrant Body lineage took over the former Life Forbidden Zone of The Heavens, the Saint Spirit Ancestral Land absorbed the Immortal Mausoleum, and Yuangeng established new forbidden zones on Origin.
  • As the Heavenly Heart Imprint’s suppression neared its end, gifted cultivators rose on Gou Chen, Big Dipper, Ziwei, Primordial World, and Flying Immortal.
  • The last traces of Yuangeng’s imprint vanished, allowing a new emperor to be born and making cultivators across the universe feel an unprecedented sense of ease.
  • Yuangeng discussed his aging second life and the Netherworld Treasure’s studies of the Immortal Tears Green Gold Saint Spirit, then judged that the Stone Emperor’s Immortal Platform was not yet complete.
  • Yuangeng left the Undying Mountain and stood above Origin, the Life Origin Star he had forged, as the Heavenly Nether Treasure dismissed the coming imperial cycle and Yuangeng welcomed its unforeseen turns.

Ch. 115The uncertainty of a butterfly's wings

Ten years after the Heng Emperor’s Extreme Dao imprint vanished, Si Yanning and Dongfang Taiyi sought Yuangeng’s help at Undying Mountain, where Yuangeng agreed to teach Dongfang Taiyi for a hundred years. Before the teaching began, a Dao-Establishing Tribulation erupted from the direction of the Primordial Ancient Mine, startling the universe’s supreme beings.

  • As tensions grew among the groups living on Primordial Star, Si Yanning and Dongfang Taiyi came to Undying Mountain to seek an audience with Yuangeng.
  • Yuangeng recognized Si Yanning and saw that Dongfang Taiyi’s attempt to cultivate both Taiyin and Taiyang powers had led him down a flawed path.
  • Yuangeng sent Si Yanning away with a Peach of Immortality and kept Dongfang Taiyi to hear him expound the scriptures for a hundred years.
  • A Dao-Establishing Tribulation sounded from the depths of the starry sky, and Yuangeng looked toward the Primordial Ancient Mine.

Ch. 116As if He Had Stirred Up a Nest of Saint Spirits

Yuangeng watched an unknown cultivator undergo a Dao-attainment tribulation and recognized him as a Saint Spirit nurtured by the Primordial Ancient Mine. As the Saint Spirit’s tribulation continued without harming him, Yuangeng wondered how powerful he might become after restoring his original essence.

  • A mysterious Dao-attainment tribulation erupted at the Cosmic Frontier, shocking the Qilin Emperor and the era’s peerless prodigies.
  • Yuangeng used a treasured mirror to reveal a young man within the tribulation, whose silver-gray Great Dao seemed familiar to the Qilin Emperor.
  • Yuangeng produced a primordial life stone and explained that the tribulating man shared its nature, but was a living Saint Spirit.
  • Yuangeng revealed that the Saint Spirit had escaped after ancient supreme beings interrupted his gestation and had secretly rebuilt his cultivation.
  • The Saint Spirit endured the tribulation unharmed as Yuangeng wondered how he would compare with the Immortal Tears Green Gold Saint Spirit Emperor.

Ch. 117Taichu: I love my home

Taichu survived his emperor's tribulation, became the Saint Spirit Emperor, and visited Yuangeng to thank him for pacifying the Primordial Ancient Mine. He asked Yuangeng to let him return to the mine and resume his gestation.

  • Taichu merged with the Heavenly Heart Imprint and the Primordial Ancient Mine's origin light, completing his tribulation and attaining the Dao.
  • Taichu proclaimed himself the Saint Spirit Emperor, severed his connection to the worshippers' thought power, and traveled to Origin Star.
  • Taichu entered the Undying Mountain and thanked Yuangeng for pacifying the Ancient Mine.
  • Taichu explained that he had fled the mine when Supreme beings tried to refine him into a great medicine.
  • Taichu asked Yuangeng to grant him permission to remain in the Ancient Mine and walk the path of gestation again.

Ch. 118"The Fated One"

Taichu returned to the Primordial Ancient Mine and learned from Yuangeng that he was one of the mine’s many offspring, not its master. Taichu recognized Yuangeng’s ancient coffin as the one he had once found in the mine and discovered that Yuangeng had been inside it.

  • Taichu explored the Primordial Ancient Mine with Yuangeng and found traces of Supremes who had once lived and died there.
  • Taichu discovered that the mine still held a developing Saint Spirit Fetus and questioned what he meant to the place.
  • Yuangeng told Taichu that he was merely one of the Immortal Fetuses born from the Ancient Mine across its many epochs.
  • Taichu showed Yuangeng a coffin from before antiquity that had vanished from the mine, and Yuangeng revealed the same coffin.
  • Taichu asked whether Yuangeng had been inside the coffin, and Yuangeng confirmed it.

Ch. 119An Unconventional Saint Spirit Emperor

Yuangeng learned that Tai Chu planned to retrace his gestation in the Primordial Ancient Mine and left to pursue his own cultivation plans. On the Ultimate Ancient Road, Di Huang revealed himself as an ancient prodigy waiting for the right era to prove his Dao and killed a wounded Silver Blood contender.

  • Tai Chu confirmed that he would use a Dharma body to retrace the Primordial Ancient Mine’s gestation path and reach a higher level of perfection.
  • Yuangeng left Tai Chu to his cultivation and returned to the Undying Mountain to study Saint Spirit gestation and plan for his third life.
  • Yuangeng considered resolving Dongfang Taiyi’s yin-yang imbalance with the Light-Dark Supreme’s scripture.
  • On the Ultimate Ancient Road, Di Huang told a wounded Silver Blood prodigy that he had once fought the current Dao Prover and had no intention of proving his Dao in this era.
  • Di Huang killed the Silver Blood prodigy and headed toward a desolate star domain to seal himself away again.

Ch. 120The Human Emperor's resurrection round came late

Dongfang Taiyi visited Si Yanning at the Lunar Essence Divine Church and revealed that he had captured a mysterious evil spirit from Big Dipper. When Si Yanning recognized the captive as a Divine Spirit Thought, the Human Emperor Seal opened its eyes.

  • Dongfang Taiyi arrived at the Lunar Essence Divine Church on Ziwei Ancient Star and paid his respects to Si Yanning.
  • Dongfang Taiyi recalled how Si Yanning and the Heng Emperor had helped him cultivate in the Undying Mountain.
  • Dongfang Taiyi told Si Yanning that he had captured the evil spirit that had attacked his junior, borrowing the Qilin Emperor Venerable's power to do so.
  • Dongfang Taiyi enlarged the blue-gold bell and revealed a black-robed figure trapped inside it.
  • Si Yanning recognized the captive as a Divine Spirit Thought, and the Human Emperor Seal opened its pitch-black eyes.

Ch. 121The Road to Immortality on Big Dipper

Yuangeng stopped the Qilin Emperor from destroying the Lunar Essence Human Emperor’s Divine Thought and proposed restoring the Human Emperor with a remnant thought and a body. He brought the group to Big Dipper to search the future site of the Road to Immortality for the Human Emperor’s remains.

  • The Human Emperor Seal awakened and revealed that the Lunar Essence Human Emperor had died after trying to conquer the Road to Immortality.
  • Yuangeng prevented the Qilin Emperor from erasing the Divine Thought and explained his plan to nurture it in the Human Emperor’s body.
  • Yuangeng transported the group to Big Dipper, where Dongfang Taiyi removed two battling ancient-race cultivators from their path.
  • Yuangeng identified the future location of the Road to Immortality and warned that its opening was still far off and the road would not suit everyone.
  • Yuangeng examined the space-time around Big Dipper and began searching for the Lunar Essence Human Emperor’s bodily remains.
