Background / History
The Luo Family has stood in Qingyun Province for a thousand years and is regarded as the province’s overlord. Its patriarch, Luo Tiangang, rose from the Northern Region’s unaffiliated cultivators to become a mighty expert comparable in standing to the Jiang Family Sacred Lord. Despite its regional influence, the family is far weaker than a Desolate Ancient Family 4 6 14 26.
A calamity a century before the main events killed the family’s several half-step great-power supreme elders. The clan never fully recovered. Subsequent losses in the Divine Source Ancient Mine left Luo Tiangang as its only remaining Immortal Platform ancestor 33.
The family once established a marriage connection with the Jiang Family through Luo Yue’s parents. That relationship effectively ended when both parents died five years before the opening events. Many Jiang clansmen had opposed the marriage, while Luo Tiangang forbade his descendants from using it to curry favor with the Jiang Family 4.
Territory and Headquarters
- Luo City — The family’s main city, enclosed by towering walls of pitch-black metallic stone bearing weapon scars and ancient formation patterns. Its central residential district forms the clan’s administrative heart 5.
- Luo Residence — A sprawling estate in the city center, containing the conference hall, private courtyards, and guest accommodations 5 33.
- Cold Pool Cave — Luo Tiangang’s recuperation site beneath a reddish-brown peak in the residence’s rear mountain. Restrictions around the cave block disturbances and help suppress his curse 7.
- Luoshui Ancient Mine — The family’s nominally owned source mine in Qingyun Province. Its divine source discovery attracts competing powers, while its depths conceal a primordial presence and a sealed divine maiden 6 38 40.

Internal Condition
- United but small: The family has few descendants and is described as internally united, without the extensive factional scheming found in older great families 23.
- Dependent on its patriarch: Luo Tiangang is the clan’s central deterrent. His seven-day unconsciousness leaves its members exposed to severe outside pressure 3 5.
- Weak succession: Luo Yue considers Luo Qingying the only younger adult capable of independently shouldering responsibility. She regards much of the remaining generation as idle, mediocre, or unreliable 33.
- Surviving elder strength: A few peak Dragon Transformation elders still support the clan, although the ancient mine kills several elders of that realm 33.
- Limited territorial control: Even with Jiang support, the family cannot seal off the ancient mine against the influx of rival factions and instead negotiates for a share of its benefits 22.
Inherited Arts and Treasures
Heavenly Dipper Art
The family possesses an inherited Thunder Art associated with Luo Tiangang 77.
- Commands divine lightning with a force described as administering punishment on heaven’s behalf 77.
- Luo Yue recalls the art during her Four Extremes tribulation and draws inspiration from its lightning-commanding principles 77.
Heavenly Dipper Tower
- Luo Tiangang’s tower shields Luo Yue alongside the Jiang protector’s Phoenix-Blood Furnace during the ancient mine’s imperial-weapon crisis 42.
- The tower shrinks back into Luo Tiangang’s hand after the confrontation 44.
