"An 'encounter' with Bibi Dong."
"So that was it. Ling Yuan hadn't considered everything."
"It's fine."
Lin Feng fell into thought. The theory had not been published earlier or later, but precisely after he broke through to Soul Elder.
If it was not meant to slap Yu Xiaogang in the face, Lin Feng would not believe it.
Qian Renxue looked somewhat puzzled.
"Grandfather, what Grandmaster? Why haven't I heard of him?"
Qian Daoliu waved a hand.
"Just a clown. No need to mind him, Xiao Xue.
"Now that we've said enough, you may withdraw first. Xiao Xue, come with me. I have something to give you."
Qian Renxue shot them an apologetic look before following Qian Daoliu deeper into the hall.
Lin Feng and Ling Yuan also returned to their residence first.
When Qian Renxue reached the depths of Douluo Hall, she saw Qian Daoliu's expression turn exceptionally solemn.
"Xiao Xue, do you know what Spirit Hall's true foundation for standing tall upon the continent is?"
"The greatest Spirit Master faction?"
Qian Daoliu shook his head.
"It is our Martial Souls. What you mentioned is merely the result.
"Spirit Hall was founded by our ancestor, the Angel God. Our ancestor severed all darkness and disease from the continent before ascending to godhood.
"Thus, Spirit Hall became the dreamland of Spirit Masters across the land, while Douluo Hall, the highest sanctuary of the Spirit Master World, stands here as well.
"And our Qian Clan, as Successors of the Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul, bears the duty of protecting the continent.
"The six Inherited Soul Bones bestowed by our ancestor are also among the reasons why our Qian Clan's strength surpasses all others."
As he spoke, Qian Daoliu sent a strand of golden soul power toward the Angel Statue.
The statue, whose appearance resembled Qian Renxue's, immediately glimmered with brilliant golden radiance.
A point of light appeared between its brows, then gradually burst outward before descending in front of Qian Renxue.
Though this soul bone did not emit any surging Soul Power Fluctuation, its sacred soul power made Qian Renxue feel as though her entire body were cheering with joy.
Almost instinctively, a thought rose in her heart: This should have belonged to me in the first place.
This was one component of the Angel Divine Armor.
"Xiao Xue, it is yours. Absorb it here. It will play a tremendous role in your future mission."
Qian Renxue nodded, her gaze never leaving the soul bone. For some reason, she felt an inexplicable familiarity with the soul bone before her.
"Alright, Grandfather."
The fusion process with this soul bone went astonishingly smoothly.
The ninety-nine-thousand, nine-hundred, and ninety-nine-year soul bone named Cloud Illusion granted her the skill Angel Light Wave.
Combined with the mask Qian Daoliu had previously given her, Qian Renxue could disguise her appearance and aura, even her Martial Soul.
Though this soul bone, tempered by the passage of time, had raised her soul power by only one level, nine-year-old Qian Renxue had already reached level 36.
If she chose to cultivate in Spirit Hall and began her Divine Examination after becoming a Soul Sage in her twenties, she would likely become a god within three to five years.

"Xiao Feng, I'm heading out. I probably won't be back before tonight."
Ling Yuan spoke softly, then vanished from sight.
Lin Feng gave a slight nod. Perfect. He needed to make a trip to the Hidden Scripture Pavilion too.
It was nearly noon. The Hidden Scripture Pavilion, which had never had many visitors to begin with, was even emptier now.
(Hm? Since when were the guards at the Hidden Scripture Pavilion changed?)
Lin Feng took out the token he had not used in a long time, greeted them, and entered.
Something was off.
Lin Feng did not see the surprise that should have been in their eyes. Had the previous guards informed them, or was there some other reason?
He opened the door to his familiar private room, only for a Fragrant Wind to drift toward him.
The window stood slightly open, and the breeze made the room's air feel fresh and pleasant.
At the desk, where no one should have been, sat a Stunning Beauty. Her gaze was focused on the book in her hands, as if she were absorbed in it.
She was tall and slender, dressed in a light Purple Gauze Dress. Her beautiful hair was coiled into Cloud Hair.
Her skin was fairer than snow, her flawless features exquisite, and her graceful figure impossible to conceal beneath her clothes.
The aura she inadvertently gave off was noble and imposing.
Lin Feng stopped in place, the amazement in his eyes lingering for a long while. In that instant, the scene before him seemed to soothe his heart.
He quickly realized that the person before him was Bibi Dong.
Although Bibi Dong should have been twenty-eight or twenty-nine by now, to Lin Feng's eyes, she looked no older than seventeen or eighteen.
Time had favored her, leaving no trace upon her.
"Have you seen enough?"
The corners of Bibi Dong's lips lifted slightly, her tone gentle. For some reason, seeing this youth, whom Qian Renxue seemed to value, wear such an expression filled her with a strange sense of pride.
Lin Feng said nothing and quietly walked to the seat opposite Bibi Dong.
"May I ask who you are, and why you are here?"
Bibi Dong narrowed her eyes slightly.
"You truly do not know?"
Lin Feng still shook his head. How could he possibly hand her the initiative?
"I truly do not."
Bibi Dong set down the book in her hand and looked at Lin Feng with interest.
"I am the newly appointed Pope. You are in Spirit Hall, yet you do not recognize me?"
"Greetings, Your Majesty the Pope. Lin Feng has devoted himself to studying Martial Soul Theory and pays little attention to the outside world. Please forgive my offense, Your Majesty the Pope."
"Oh?"
Seeing that Lin Feng's gaze was clear and that he did not seem to be lying, Bibi Dong's curiosity deepened.
The person before her had a similar beginning, yet he had already resolved his own hidden danger and created entirely new theories.
What shocked Bibi Dong even more was that he was only nine years old. From researching his own Martial Soul to creating a Cultivation Method, he had spent only three years.
Even though Bibi Dong resisted accepting that fact, she had no choice but to admit that Lin Feng's comprehension and talent far surpassed that person's.
When they first met at Spirit Awakening Plaza three years ago, she had been somewhat surprised by Lin Feng's composure in the face of change, but she had not taken it to heart.
Now that she had turned her attention to Lin Feng again, his accomplishments were already enough to cause an earthquake in the Spirit Master World.
Bibi Dong looked into the eyes of the handsome youth before her. They sat on opposite sides of the desk as the breeze drifted through.
For a moment, Bibi Dong felt as though she had returned to the past. A trace of nostalgia flashed in her eyes, but her aura soon shifted, returning to its cold detachment.
"You resemble someone."
"Who?"
Bibi Dong let out a breath. To her surprise, she found herself looking forward to Lin Feng's answer.
"Yu Xiaogang. He is known as the Grandmaster in the Spirit Master World."
Lin Feng's gaze sharpened.
"I have indeed seen his name in books."
Bibi Dong's eyes lit up as she quickly asked,
"Then what do you think of his theories?"
Though he felt that something was off with Bibi Dong, Lin Feng still answered resolutely.
"My apologies, Your Majesty the Pope, but I must speak frankly. Yu Xiaogang's theories merely compile the knowledge of those before him, and many of them lack practical support.
"If you truly believe he deserves the title of Grandmaster, then you are gravely mistaken."
Almost the instant Lin Feng finished speaking, Bibi Dong's smile vanished.
Anger filled her eyes. She rose abruptly and rebuked him,
"What could you possibly know about him? He is the genius who proposed the Ten Core Competencies of Spirits!"
Lin Feng's expression did not change in the slightest. The more agitated Bibi Dong became, the more it suited his purpose.
He picked up the teacup on the table.
"Crack!"
A streak of soul power shot forth, directly shattering the teacup in Lin Feng's hand.
Lin Feng flicked the tea from his hand and spoke calmly.
"I am a scholar. I must respect the truth.
"Your Majesty the Pope, if the truth brings pain, then lies will only be adding insult to injury."
