The receptionist lowered her voice. "You're lucky. If the other seasoned detectives weren't so busy, a cushy job like this would never have fallen into your lap."

The corner of Klein's mouth twitched. He really couldn't see how he had been lucky lately. If he truly had been, he wouldn't have run into this miserable business.
To be honest, mired in trouble as he was, Klein had no intention of accepting a commission.
