"Gulp."
Roy swallowed, forcing down the panic in his heart.
He adjusted his glasses and looked at the mysterious woman before him, shrouded in shadows that obscured her features.
"Ma'am, what... would you like to ask?"
He did not immediately refuse or resist. Although he could not make out her appearance, the spirituality she radiated was enough for him to clearly sense that this uninvited guest was extraordinarily powerful.
She was definitely a demigod! And most likely... even stronger than his elusive teacher!
Seeing that King Roy had not reacted rashly, Bernadette asked evenly, "Do you know someone called 'Blazing' Danitz?"
"Yes." King Roy did not hesitate. "The sailor chief under 'Vice Admiral Iceberg,' Edwina Edwards. He has something of a reputation in Bayam's Beyonder circles."
"Have you met him?"
"Hmm..."
King Roy thought for a moment before saying, "Yes. We've crossed paths a few times at unofficial Beyonder gatherings and done a few deals."
Bernadette nodded, then reached out and conjured a peculiarly shaped gold coin out of thin air.
"Take a look at this."
King Roy turned his gaze to the gold coin. He could clearly feel a flow of "fate" within it. This was definitely something connected to the Monster pathway.
As King Roy studied the coin curiously, his mind raced to work out what this mysterious woman really wanted.
Then Bernadette suddenly asked a deadly question:
"Do you know anything about the adventurer called Monkey Brando who has been accompanying Danitz lately?"
What? Why him again? A flicker of alarm flashed through King Roy's eyes.
He had only just resolved to flee as soon as possible and stay away from that walking disaster. Yet in the blink of an eye, that damned Brando
had landed him in this colossal mess!
He quickly steadied himself, his mind
