Bringing Klein Moretti Back to Life

"Can you really share your memories with me?" Above Sefirah Castle, Klein, who had eaten beforehand, asked curiously, "How do we do it?"

"I'm not entirely sure," Neph replied, "but first, you should lift Sefirah Castle's restrictions on my Beyonder abilities."

Klein gave an embarrassed smile. After a brief moment of consideration, he said, "Done."

Neph tentatively activated Spirit Vision. In her ordinary sight, Klein was still shrouded in grayish-white fog, but through Spirit Vision, she could glimpse his Astral Body.

It was a very peculiar feeling. Neph deactivated Spirit Vision and cautioned Klein:

"Don't resist. That'll make it easier for me, and I'll be less likely to hurt you."

Klein nodded in agreement, and only then did Neph begin.

Modifying memories was actually quite dangerous. If Klein harbored any intent to resist, altering his memories would become difficult. Neph might apply too much force and touch something she should not; in severe cases, she could even throw his memories into disarray.

The human brain was, after all, a delicate instrument.

So even though Klein had agreed not to resist, Neph was very careful at first. She took a clever shortcut: rather than directly giving Klein the memory of the meal, she added a memory of receiving those memories after their conversation about modifying memories.

That way, Klein would not be confused about whom those memories belonged to.

After carefully inserting the memories she had prepared, Neph exhaled and told him:

"Done."

Klein did not respond immediately. He had felt the entire process. As the memories slowly filled his mind, he truly felt as though he had been there and experienced it himself. Neph had made subtle adjustments to the memories so that Klein could experience the corresponding sensations,

without getting too confused.
