Edwina's reply to Klein's inquiry about the Golden Dream's current coordinates came surprisingly quickly. Along with learning that demigods of the Sleepless pathway could not dispense with sleep entirely but did not need to sleep every day, Neph also received the Golden Dream's present coordinates.

Neph's arrival aboard the enormous Golden Dream was actually quite quiet. She crossed the deck and found Anderson and Danitz together as usual, trading barbs-though even after standing there for quite some time, she had yet to see Danitz win.

She shook her head, leaned against the railing, and remarked leisurely, "Danitz, you're still just as bad with words as before. I really think you ought to consider switching pathways."

The voice came out of nowhere. Anderson and Danitz immediately braced for a fight, but Danitz relaxed once he recognized Neph's face and blurted out, "It's you?"

"You know each other?" Anderson asked with a frown, his eyes still fixed on Neph, who had appeared so suddenly.

"It looks like you didn't know I would be here," Neph said, studying Anderson. "Edwina didn't tell you, did she?"

She had met this strongest Hunter of the Five Seas once before, and Neph believed she must have left a deep impression on him-because she had summoned the angel from that painting.

Anderson Hood eased his stance a little. His muscles remained taut and his eyes wary, but he still asked, "Who are you?

"You seem to know me."

That question had been on his mind ever since he had met this baffling white-haired girl.

Neph did not answer directly. She glanced at Danitz, who was pricking up his ears beside them, and snorted. "Mr. Head Maid over there, if you still haven't realized what you ought to be doing, I don't mind giving you a little help."
