The answer was within Neph's expectations. She rubbed her chin and asked, "No reply?"

"No." Klein shook his head. "But he told me your answer."

"Hmm?" Neph's eyes shifted as she recalled what she had told Leonard.

I should have been the "White Angel"-right, my new name! Maybe I could ask-

Neph looked up at Klein, whose talent for naming things might well be worse than hers, and said thoughtfully, "Speaking of which, Mr. Fool, there's something I'd like your help with."

Klein frowned at her. Neph actually didn't call him Mr. Fool that often. Apart from when others were present and when they had first met, she only called him that as a joke.

But her attitude seemed unusually serious this time, so Klein straightened in his seat and asked with concern, "What is it?"

"Could you help me come up with a name?" Neph rested her chin on her hand.

Klein hadn't expected that request. He looked at her in surprise and said hesitantly, "I remember you already have a name-"

"Not that name." Neph shook her head. "To be precise, perhaps I should call it a title-the title in a titled angel's name!"

With that explanation, Klein understood. "You don't intend to keep the title 'White'?"

"I actually hadn't thought about it before-" Neph instinctively began explaining, only to cut herself short.

Hearing that she still had something to say, Klein prompted her. "What is it?"

Neph parted her lips. The matter itself was simple enough. After testing her twice in person, Adam had finally acknowledged her identity. Those words had been a pointer, and she felt the content of that pointer was meaningful in itself-she really should have a new name.

The problem was that Neph didn't know how to explain Adam's identity to him!
