Dear Leonard:

I know you have joined the Tarot Club and obtained the "The Star" card. This letter is to tell you some basic information about the Tarot Club, as well as some things you may not know.

First, regarding the members of the meeting, the two earliest members to Tarot Club were "Miss Justice" and "Mr. Hanged Man." "Miss Justice" is a noblewoman who is already Sequence Hypnotist. She owns a Pet of the same Pathway and is currently believed to be Psychiatrist.

She is innocent and kind -Goodness, and very interested in Mysticism knowledge, but lacks experience in handling extraordinary events. She is generous with money and not petty.

The Hanged Man has close ties with the Church of Storms and is active at the Sea year-round. He has extensive experience in dealing with people, so when doing business with him, remember to find out the market price beforehand.

The third member is the Sun "Derrick," who comes from the legendary Forsaken Land of the Gods. He is simple-minded and gullible. He has no Pound on him and can only use extraordinary materials and various Mysticism knowledge as terms of trade.

The fourth member should be "Miss Pure White". She has now left the Tarot Club, but I still have to mention some of her basic information, which I think you are probably curious about.

She is the offspring of God God whom she calls the God of Winter. At the Tarot Club, she holds a rather special position, and Mr. Fool seems to treat her with special favor because of her mother.

She possesses extensive knowledge of Mysticism and Concealment history, which she often used as leverage in the past.

She claims to have been born in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, where she was once trapped, and later, under the protection of the "True Creator," she was able to leave that land, and therefore she believes in the "True Creator."

Leonard stopped halfway through reading the message, swallowed hard, and called out, "Old Man?"

"What is it?" Pallez seemed unwilling to answer him.

"Do you know the relationship between the True Creator ' and the Ancient Sun God '?" Leonard asked.

Pallez remained silent, seemingly gathering his thoughts, before finally speaking, "It can't be said that there's no connection—"

"Hmm?" Leonard asked.

Pallez did not answer; he simply said, "Knowing too much is not good for you."

Leonard had no choice but to continue reading the letter, having already read the introductions to the remaining members of the Tarot Club. Next came the Concealment knowledge; after Leonard expressed shock and fear at the story of the Three Deities devouring the Creator, Pallez couldn't help but ask, "Why would your former colleague tell you even this?"

"I don't know," Leonard replied. "Maybe—maybe others know? It seems to be knowledge that was discussed at that party."

"Then why were these things discussed at that gathering?" Pallez asked.

"I don't know," Leonard replied.

Pallez didn't expect him to give an answer, but after a brief thought, he advised, "I don't know much about that party, so I can't give you any good advice. Just remember one sentence, it will be useful no matter when."

Listen more, observe more, and speak less.

"Okay!" Leonard nodded solemnly.

"Your Excellency, what is this—?" Palenque Tasibu took the white Warlock's hat from Neph's hand, his expression somewhat bewildered.

"Let's try Divination," Neph instructed.

"Divination?" Palenque Tasibu asked, somewhat bewildered.

Neph nodded firmly and added, " To Divination the origin of this hat."

Palenque Tasibu accepted the Demigod Pathway, Divination was not a problem, and the "Death God" Pathway was no exception. Although he was not as good at it, he could still do basic Divination.

But the image he saw in the Divination almost made him think there was something wrong with his eyes. When he looked at Neph in astonishment, Neph picked up her hat and put it back on, asking in a curious voice, "What did you see?"

Palenque Tasibu hesitated before speaking, "I... I saw a tree—"

It took root, sprouted, grew, and then, and then----

"On the tree, hundreds and thousands of hats of different colors and styles grew, and the extra hats fell to the ground, piling up far, far away—"

Neph clutched her stomach and collapsed onto the table laughing.

Palenque Tasibu didn't dare ask. She watched Neph laugh uncontrollably, standing there with her head down, as if she hadn't seen anything. Neph found it amusing, and after a while, she gradually stopped laughing, propping herself up and saying, "This is—"

"My new toy."

"Toys?" Palenque Tasibu paused for a moment.

"Hmm," he stroked his chin, "Authority? That's what it should be called."

That's not entirely wrong. In Neph's understanding, this is indeed a further step in controlling the Authority memories, even though it's written into the Beyonder Ability of the "Pure White Walker."

Clearly, by Sequence 3, the "Pure White Walker" were no longer satisfied with modifying the memories of living things, but instead set their sights on inanimate objects and things with memory properties.

For example, modifying the past of an item—of course, Neph confirmed that she didn't actually change the item's past, but merely applied a new layer of paint to its original past. When she occupied the Pure White Space, that layer of paint was naturally peeled off.

This can probably only be used as a special kind of Anti-Divination for now.

For example, the ability she demonstrated in Moon City using Sealed Artifact —the power to erase pollution—has many more uses because what she erases is essentially a "trace." In Neph's view, gifts and Beyonder Characteristic are also a kind of trace.

Aside from these abilities and the "Memory Corridor" she had already seen, things like enhanced control over ice and snow were considered nonsense by Neph. They were merely improvements in range, intensity, and precision. Neph had checked, and in terms of "freezing," she was better than before, but only to a limited extent. At least for now, she couldn't freeze time, nor could she truly prevent death from coming; she could only delay it for longer.

As for the "Memory Corridor," Neph used Ais to conduct experiments and found that the only difference between it and the one she had seen before was that it was more intelligent because it was managed by someone.

Simply put, she could use memory scenes to confuse others or provoke their emotions.

In Neph's view, if it weren't for the fact that this thing could devour people's memories, it would be no different from a magical toy.

As for the result of consuming memories

Well----

If someone were to obediently let her erase her memories and then rewrite them with new ones, she might be able to get a second Ais.

But that was clearly impossible, so Neph snapped her fingers and told Palenque Tasibu, who was still pondering, the purpose of her visit. "I remember you told me that the Royalist Faction is centered around the descendants of the Death God Reaper?"

"Yes." Palenque Tasibu nodded.

"Their descendants of Death God— " Neph drew out, "Are there many?"

"Huh?" Palenque Tasibu looked somewhat puzzled. "If we don't consider the concentration of bloodlines, it shouldn't be considered small?"

He paused, then asked hesitantly, "What do you want to do?"

"Hmm," Neph stroked her chin, "Do you know the recipe for the Nightwatcher's Watch Potion?"

This is Sequence 4 of the "Sleepless" Pathway, and it is also Neph's greatest discovery in Ince Will's memory.

The ascension Ritual for "Nightwatcher" involves collecting the bloodline characteristics of the descendants of the True God to create a Requiem Magic circle. The abilities gained after becoming a "Nightwatcher" will vary depending on the bloodline characteristics of the True God used in the Ritual.

This wouldn't normally be a problem, since while there aren't many God-Blooded, they aren't so few that only descendants of the God of Death God are possible. The most unique aspect of this Ritual is that if one wants to switch from the "Death God" or "God of Combat" Pathway to the "Darkness" Pathway, one can only use the bloodline characteristics of the descendants of the True God corresponding to these three Pathway, choosing one of them.

This means that the Royalist Faction's descendants of Death God can finally be put to use.

Handing them over to the Church of Evernight became the optimal solution. For Neph, there were two problems at this moment: first, ensuring Mr. Azik wouldn't object to his second Blood Relative being raised by others—who might even include his direct descendants; as for the second...

It's the same old problem. Demigod is unlikely to discuss this with her; he'll inevitably report it to the Holy Cathedral and ask the Pope for a decision. Even if the Church of Evernight doesn't use this incident to get her to go to the Church of Serenity, she can't just propose a plan and wait for them to exchange telegrams.

The former is actually easy to resolve. Even from the perspective of the original work, Neph doesn't think Mr. Azik has any intention of taking care of such distant Blood Relative. Being raised by someone else would at most make him feel offended and angry, which can be resolved through a transaction. Moreover, this is a problem that the Church of Evernight needs to solve, and it has nothing to do with her.

But for the latter, Neph couldn't think of a good solution.

However, Neph was only there to discuss the feasibility of the plan with Palenque Tasibu. After Palenque Tasibu shook his head in denial, she introduced the Nightwatcher's Watch promotion Ritual and added, "I think the Royalist Faction would be very suitable. What do you think?"

Palenque Tasibu casually added the word "ruthless" to the label for this young lady, then crossed it out after thinking for a moment and changed it to "indifferent to mortals".

"Your idea is brilliant," he nodded, his expression devout. "Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, and I'll do my best!"

"Not for now," Neph refused. "I need to wait for the Church of Evernight to make a decision."

"I will pay close attention to information related to the Royalist Faction," Palenque Tasibu promised.

Klein stopped in front of a Hat Ornament stall.

The Southern Continent has no shortage of stalls selling feathers and Hat Ornament, and it's easy to find artisans who make Hat Ornament. However, in this land where everyone wears white feathers, colorful feathers are not so common.

--

As for the Rainbow Feather — Klein never actually thought he would find them in the first place.

Neph did specify that she wanted Rainbow Feather, but according to Klein's aesthetic sense, considering that Neph's eyes were mostly blue-green, he thought blue-green feathers were the most suitable.

But such feathers are obviously not easy to find, especially since he wanted to find ones that were as close as possible to the color of Neph's eyes, which made it even more difficult.

He had walked past many similar stalls, and just as Klein was about to leave in disappointment once again, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a bright spot.

It was a woman carrying a birdcage, inside which was a bird with beautiful blue-green feathers, smooth and soft, reflecting a beautiful light.

Klein stared at the bird, hesitated briefly, then stepped forward and asked, "Excuse me, ma'am."

"That bird you're carrying—may I buy even one of its feathers?"

"Feathers?" The woman paused, then asked, "What do you intend to use them for?"

"I want to use it to make a Hat Ornament," Klein explained. "Its color is very similar to my friend's eye color."

"I see," the woman said with a look of realization, "It should be possible, but—"

Before she could finish speaking, an urgent call came, "Gillian!"

A man who bore a resemblance to Gillian approached. He grasped Gillian's hand, examined it, and then took the birdcage, scolding, "Why did you come out alone? Didn't you say I was here to pick it up?"

"I just wanted to see you because I had other things to do," Gillian smiled and shook her head. "Besides, I'm fine, aren't I? Well, Quinn, this gentleman just mentioned something to me—"

Quinn then noticed Klein standing to the side. He wasn't dressed Dwayne Dantès because he was worried that it would sound strange if word got back that he was searching for a gift for a girl in the Southern Continent.

However, to avoid trouble, Klein still used the face of the Northern Continent.

Therefore, after observing Klein's appearance and clothing, Quinn was polite and courteous, and asked, "Sir, what brings you to my sister?"

"They're siblings!" Klein realized, repeating what he had just said. "I want to buy a feather to make Hat Ornament for my friend—the bird's color is very similar to her eye color."

Girl Quinn and Gillian exchanged a knowing glance. Klein understood that they had definitely misunderstood, but instead of explaining, he adopted a shy demeanor.

"We won't refuse such a request," Quinn said, "But the bird's feathers aren't for sale."

"Huh?" Klein looked confused.

Gillian then explained, "You should be able to tell that this bird is not a native species—in fact, it must have been abandoned."

"When we first saw it, it was in very poor condition. It was only after careful treatment and protection that it reached its current state."

"If you need its feathers, we hope you'll agree when you and your friends meet..."

We are willing to lend a helping hand in similar situations.
