"Uh..."
Lin Chuan's expression turned a little odd. Looking at Klein, who had inexplicably grown melancholy, he couldn't help asking:
"You don't think I'm leaving right now, do you?"
"Huh?" Klein froze for a moment. "Aren't you? I thought that hot pot just now was a farewell dinner."
"What are you thinking?" Lin Chuan rubbed his temple helplessly. "I said it would be a while yet. Probably around August."
What a joke. I haven't even killed that dumbass Ince Zangwill and gotten my hands on 0-08 yet. Leave now? That would probably mean the new Three Days' Will was working its magic.
August...
Klein's melancholy vanished completely. He slumped back against his chair and complained:
"So it's only early July, and you're telling me you're leaving more than a month in advance?"
Unconcerned, Lin Chuan said:
"I'm letting you know early so you can prepare yourself. Don't worry, this little bit of time won't affect me."
Klein shook his head, somewhat speechless. But as he listened to Lin Chuan's casual words, a question rose in his mind:
Why specifically August? Is something big going to happen in Tingen City that month?
Before he could decide whether to ask, however, Lin Chuan added:
"When the time comes, if you want to contact me, you can pull me above the gray fog or give me a prayer call..."
Klein nodded slightly. That hadn't occurred to him.
So far, only Alger and Audrey had prayed and received responses, separately, on Tuesday. Mr. Fool had yet to get used to that side of his work.
Lin Chuan frowned slightly, then suddenly spoke again, rejecting his own suggestion:
"But your level isn't high enough yet. You'd have to make a special trip above the gray fog to receive prayers. That's a hassle."
"How about this?"
