The sea breeze aboard the ship was bitterly cold. Amid a wash of vivid colors, Lumian-na's figure emerged and landed in a dark corner.

She reached out and gently moved aside the clutter around her. The mingled stench of blood and filth had brewed into an overpowering odor in the depths of the pirate ship, making Lumian-na's keen senses distinctly uncomfortable. She held her breath, turned sideways, and concealed herself in the darkness.

The ship was not particularly large. Although it was a sizable vessel equipped with both a smokestack and sails, it was still only one ship.

On the vast ocean, pirates without a fleet were merely a small or medium-sized crew, no matter how large their lone vessel was. Besides, although the two leaders aboard this pirate ship possessed Beyonder abilities, they were not particularly powerful.

Indeed, Lumian-na had judged that she could not kill hundreds of people in a head-on confrontation. But if she did not attack head-on-that would be a simple matter.

"What a shame." Lumian-na sighed softly. "A Demoness of Affliction can spread deadly viruses, and a Pyromaniac can set a wide area ablaze. Either of those Beyonder abilities would make this easy. As things stand, I still have to 'assassinate' them one by one."

As she spoke, she sprang nimbly from the darkness and drove Fallen Mercury into the back of a hurried pirate sailor's head, ending his life with ruthless decisiveness.

Having done so, she quickly dragged the sailor into the shadows. Rather than hiding him completely, she placed a mirror in front of him.

-Mirror Magic.

As a Witch, Lumian-na had already established a connection with the Mirror World. Although she could not yet communicate with it deeply, she could readily use mirrors to cast certain forms of black magic.
