Bruce hurriedly backed away. The Spirituality Power of these five Gray-Robed Men was strange, too. Rather than normal Spirituality fluctuations, it was full of magical fluctuations. Magic was mixed into their Spirituality Power. Were they Wizards, or Extraordinaries associated with magic?
He was a Wizard, so he could use magic as well, but his magic and Spirituality were separate. Without incantations and magical diagrams, there would be no magical fluctuations at all.
Extraordinaries had many identities, with countless mysteries surrounding them. There might be many more Extraordinary identities associated with magic. Bruce had never encountered far too many of them, so it was only natural that he had questions.
The scepters in the Gray-Robed Men's hands were strange as well.
Bruce strongly suspected that these people could cast magic instantly because of those scepters. If so, the scepters must be Beyonder items.
Bruce darted aside, and five streams of Spirituality Power swept past him. Though none touched him, he could still feel the tremendous force within them. A single lash would surely tear his skin open.
I haven't done much of anything since coming to Walkervis. How did these Gray-Robed Men set their sights on me?

He had not directly involved himself in Julius's affairs. The Church had been handling everything. Bruce had thought that if he became entangled with Julius, it would be through working with the Church.
After considering every possibility, Bruce could only suspect a connection to Julius, yet he had no direct ties to him.
Could these fellows have mistaken me for someone else?
Bruce lightly pushed off the ground with his toes, swiftly putting distance between himself and the Gray-Robed Men. Though he had mastered exquisite swordsmanship, magic imposed many limitations on him. Getting close to them would be difficult.
Divine
