| Divine Might acquired | 25 | Spends 50 spirituality to gain close-range intimidation that briefly immobilizes targets. The next development requirement becomes 70. |
| Dark Lord Eris identity accessed | 27 | His consciousness occupies an illusory divine body in Zambesi. Eris’s panel displays 10,000/1,190,000 spirituality and numerous divine abilities, though the surrounding gray mist restricts him. |

| Wheel of Fate fully integrated | 148 | Absorbs the panel and masters all five innate abilities. Learns that its “spirituality value” represents fate power, then restores the Wheel’s overlapping-gear form. |
Background / History
Bruce grew up in Akin Village. His parents died three years before the story began, leaving him an old horse and a flatbed cart. He supported himself by harvesting straw for landowners until a notice informed him that his uncle Flickent Wayne and his aunt had died 1.
Under the Rune Kingdom’s Entailed Estate Law, Bruce was the sole heir to his uncle’s land and manor despite their poor relationship. Flickent’s two daughters could not inherit the estate; Bruce instead became responsible for their upkeep. The property yielded at least 2,400 silver Rune Coins annually 1.
At the beginning of his journey to Lane Village, Bruce believed that Chu Lingfeng had transmigrated into his body. He possessed memories of another homeland and family, wanted to return to them, and questioned whether the original Bruce had died before his arrival 1 3 46.
The Wayne Family was one of the Four Dark Families, alongside Mistvale, Sharon, and Kiri Elode. Its ancestors served Eris, possessed the strongest dark bloodline among those families, and safeguarded the Dark Bible. Much of that inherited knowledge had disappeared by Bruce’s generation 56 57.
Church research later established that the family carried the bloodlines of both Eris and the Goddess of the Night. Cruno also discovered a record stating that the Sacred Scarab had revived Bruce as the Wayne Family’s new progenitor 65 75.
A man identifying himself as Bruce’s future self eventually disputed the apparent transmigration. He explained that Bruce was not Chu Lingfeng, that those memories were illusions, and that the Character Status Panel was a Wheel of Fate he had created while crossing timelines. Bruce accepted his identity as Bruce Wayne after their meeting 147 148.
Appearance
- Ordinary appearance: A young man with a gentle gaze and facial contours resembling his uncle’s. He arrives at Wayne Manor dusty from travel and wearing worn clothing 5.
- Build: Tall and slender; initially limited by poor strength and stamina despite excellent sword technique 35 70.
- Formal presentation: Custom-made attire accentuates his figure. Weeks of exercise and reading improve his bearing before he hosts his first party 70.
- Golden Experience: Gains golden hair, pure white pupils, and a pale-tinged gold robe. His face becomes masklike and incapable of displaying emotion 128.
Personality
Bruce is cautious, analytical, and reluctant to commit without understanding the consequences. He delays choosing an Extraordinary identity because the decision can be made only once, rejects Secret Prayer because contact with hidden entities is dangerous, and remains wary even of apparently friendly supernatural allies 21. His caution also shapes his negotiations: he offers the Mistvales valuable knowledge while concealing how much he knows and whether the Dark Bible has already been unsealed 58 59.
Wealth initially appeals to him as a route to comfort rather than domination. He soon begins planning investments and a service-based business instead of merely living off his estate. He values practical financial information over inspirational success books, but is inexperienced in high society and rehearses conversation topics to protect his reputation 5 17 25 70.
Bruce places limits on his pursuit of power. He bans human sacrifice in Zambesi, refuses to kill people merely to increase his spirituality, and prefers mystery incidents that do not endanger innocents 28 118 153. He nevertheless recognizes how intoxicating divine power can be and works to develop strength that belongs to him rather than depend entirely on Eris’s authority 39.
Abilities & Skills
Wheel of Fate
The source of Bruce’s five innate abilities, initially presented as a Character Status Panel. Its talents originate from abilities he possessed in other possible fates 147 148.
- Resource: The panel’s spirituality value is ultimately revealed to be fate power, distinct from the Spirituality Power used to cast magic 148.
- Acquisition: Mystery incidents and deaths can provide fate power. Ordinary combat does not necessarily increase the displayed value 113 118 148.
- Development targets: Initially allows Bruce to grant abilities to himself or small, clearly defined objects he carries; large objects such as a carriage or bathtub are excluded 3 25.
- Ability limits: His integrated talents are fixed rather than automatically advancing like a complete Extraordinary identity. Further development requires moving the Wheel again 148.
Grand Trend
Reveals concealed information about events and supernatural activity. Its origin is a timeline in which Bruce became an Investigator 2 148.
- Initially supplies notifications about regional dangers, investigations, and secrets surrounding Wayne Manor 2 3.
- Notifications can disappear after the relevant secret has been uncovered 31 61.
- After mastering the Wheel, Bruce can activate it deliberately to investigate an incident’s roots 153.
- Its use produces no fluctuations of Spirituality Power 153.
Breakthrough
Finds a possible route to survival in dangerous circumstances. It originates from a fate in which Bruce became an escape artist 3 148.
- Identifies the rules of a lethal nightmare, including the need to reject the belief that he has died until an outside force wakes him 11.
- Explains that his painful connection to the Dark Bible is temporary and will leave no harmful aftereffects 24.
- Directs him to remove his will from his body during divine corruption, allowing him to escape through Eris’s identity 145.
- Can fail with “Insufficient contact” and does not replace his own judgment in merely unfavorable situations 4 51.
Divine Might
Uses powerful will to intimidate targets and briefly render them immobile. Its source is a timeline in which Bruce became a demigod 25 148.
- Can affect one target or everyone within a limited nearby area 25.
- Creates openings for physical counters and sword attacks 42 44.
- Breaks the baroness’s control over Winston and destroys supernatural ghosts and magical shadows 50 103 110.
- Affects Julius’s soul inside an otherwise indestructible spell-bound cover, revealing its divine quality 124.
- Excessive use can cause headaches; his human-body version is far weaker than Eris’s Divine Might 42 43.
Swordsmanship Mastery
Grants exceptional sword control and the capacity to learn and combine different styles. It derives from a fate in which Bruce became a Swordsmanship Master 35 148.
- Makes familiar sword movements instinctive, precise, and natural 35.
- Supports his study of Wind-Cutting Swordsmanship and the techniques recorded in his uncle’s notes 21 35.
- Does not compensate for inadequate strength or stamina; Andre defeats him despite praising his technique 35 36.
- Works alongside support magic to disable attackers without fully severing their tendons 61.
Wizard Magic
Bruce uses spells, runes, incantations, and Spirituality Power rather than relying solely on his innate talents 54 61.
- Support spells: Studies slowing, illusions, and numbness to complement swordsmanship 61.
- Weapon enhancement: Uses Sluggishness, Reinforcement, and Sharpness while confronting an evil creature 64.
- Qiyu Bird: Transfers his consciousness into the bird to control its flight and observe his surroundings through Universal Vision 54 61.
- Reincarnation ritual: Successfully places Fawcett in a dead young man’s spiritually suitable body 103.
- Golden Tentacles: Combines Tentacle Capture and Sharpness from the Dark Bible; the combination becomes combat-effective with Golden Experience’s abundant magic 151.
- Limits: Casting consumes Spirituality Power and causes mental fatigue. Many of the Dark Bible’s stronger spells are dangerous, involve large-scale sacrifice, or are unsuitable for small engagements 54 151.
Golden Experience
Converts all available Spirituality Power into enough magical power to make Bruce a powerful Wizard temporarily 127.
- Strengthens his perception sufficiently to recognize the Castro Wizards’ solidified magical reserves and the role of their scepters 128.
- Magical output is proportional to the Spirituality Power spent; activating it with depleted reserves produces a weaker result 133.
- Can last nearly thirty minutes, though his magical supply may run out earlier 133.
- Ending the transformation early does not refund Spirituality Power, leaving him vulnerable once the temporary magic is gone 130.
Dark Lord Eris’s Authority
Bruce can move his consciousness into Eris’s identity in Zambesi’s Underground City. Fate enabled him to acquire this identity before Eris’s eventual reincarnation 27 145 147.
- Divine Might: Exerts an overwhelming divine presence across the palace 27.
- Divine Vision: Observes spirituality and bodily abnormalities throughout Zambesi to identify candidates for divine favor 29.
- Divine Power Seizure: Draws objects toward him from anywhere covered by his divine power 36.
- Darkness Transformation: Can empower worshippers as apostles of darkness, but causes madness, bloodlust, and drastically shortened lifespans 37.
- Restrictions: His divine body is illusory and initially confined to the throne by gray mist. He also limits his activity to avoid attracting other gods 27 36.
- Future conflict: His future self warns that he must eventually fight the reincarnated Eris to secure his position as Dark Lord 147.
