"Did you hear that rustling? It sounded like a kitten meowing." Thalyssra had recovered somewhat. She poured some warm water and handed it to Elisande.
Elisande had spent part of the day unconscious. Rowan had transferred some of the Heart of Azeroth's artifact energy to her, forcibly suppressing the effects of her energy deficit and the mana addiction ravaging her body.
The two sisters, Elisande and Thalyssra, were deeply curious about the special energy Rowan wielded. This gentle, pure energy not only restored their mana, but also alleviated the symptoms of Mana Addiction Syndrome.
Elisande cradled the cup hollowed out of a block of wood and took a small sip of tea.
The splinters around its unsmoothed rim pricked her delicate lips.
She frowned, ready to lose her temper, then remembered that she was no longer in Suramar. It was time the Grand Archmage reined in her irritable disposition.

Thalyssra's injuries were far worse than Elisande's. She slowly sat down and draped a blanket over her thighs.
Winter had already arrived, and the nights were chilly.
The palace beneath the ruins was rather damp. There was a makeshift fire, but it did little good.
"How much mana wine did we bring when we withdrew from Suramar?" Elisande had entrusted the evacuation plans to Thalyssra and Melandrus.
Melandrus had turned traitor, so Elisande could only ask Thalyssra about the details.
Thalyssra took a ledger from her bag, opened it, and pointed to the figures on two pages. "Two-thirds of the mana wine was distributed to the commoners. The nobles took all the rest."
"Didn't some of the nobles flee Suramar with the people?"
Thalyssra nodded slightly, making
