Zetsu saw through Obito's stubborn denials but had no intention of calling him out.
Aside from the late Rin Nohara, Kakashi was the person Obito mentioned most often. Otherwise, he would not have deliberately spared Kakashi after reclaiming his Kamui Sharingan.
This was almost beyond friendship, bordering on family.
It was like his own unwavering determination to save his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki. It had all but become an obsession.
Lately, however, the shinobi world seemed to have slipped out of his control and was developing in a decidedly bizarre direction. The appearance of suspected reincarnations of Indra and Asura was one thing, but even Hamura's descendants were coming down to stir up trouble from time to time.
Had my two elder brothers, dead for so many years, discovered me? Or had Mother's clansmen secretly arrived?
Whatever the case, little remained of the thousand years he had spent waiting. He had to act faster.
With that thought, Zetsu waved a hand. Two coffins promptly rose out of the ground before Obito.
Looking at the coffins marked "Gold" and "Silver," Obito frowned. "Zetsu, do you think I need help from reanimated bodies to capture the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki?"
After transplanting the Rinnegan and cleverly defeating the First Hokage, Obito's confidence had swelled considerably.
Aside from that troublesome "President" and Konoha's Oto Uchiha, his strength was enough to tower over the shinobi world. Never mind capturing the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki; he had more than enough power to take on Kumogakure alone.
Zetsu smiled. "Kinkaku and Ginkaku carry the Six Paths Tools. They once killed the Second Hokage, and their tools specialize in sealing."
At the mention of sealing, Obito's expression softened slightly.
Having been left with a deep fear of Sealing Jutsu, he naturally understood how terrifying it was, especially its ability to disregard everything
