Looking at the bewildered First Hokage, Zou Hyuga deliberately asked the question.
The First Hokage scratched his head and explained, "An Uchiha from the village sent me here. She also freed me from the control of Impure World Reincarnation, and she..."
Even now, the First Hokage kept recalling the Rinnegan reflected in Oto's eyes, unable to put it out of his mind.
The Rinnegan were the legendary eyes of the Sage of Six Paths, capable of reviving the Ten-Tails that had nearly destroyed the world. Madara and Obito intended to use the Ten-Tails to cast Infinite Tsukuyomi, an enormous genjutsu that would engulf the entire shinobi world.
He had originally believed Oto stood against Madara and Obito, but now he could not rule out the possibility that she coveted the Ten-Tails' power.
Zou Hyuga caught the First Hokage's look of existential doubt, and the faintest smile touched his lips.
While he had been analyzing Otsutsuki power, Oto had also been hard at work studying the Chakra Cloak and developing the dojutsu Amenominaka. She had eventually succeeded in sealing the Rinnegan within her Mangekyō Sharingan, allowing her to switch between them at will.
He had no need for the Ten-Tails' power, but the same might not be true of Oto.
Reining in his wandering thoughts, Zou Hyuga extended a hand toward the First Hokage. "Lord First, if you have nothing else to attend to, please come with me. We'll need your strength for this operation."
"What operation?" the First Hokage asked, studying Zou Hyuga.
"Saving the shinobi world, more or less. The Second Hokage and Lord Fourth are taking part too..."
