Zou Hyuga pursued the Sky Ninja’s technology and gathered allies while Akatsuki hunted the remaining tailed beasts. After Orochimaru summoned Hashirama to oppose Obito, Nagato captured the Five-Tails, and the story left Zou Hyuga arriving at the Five Kage Summit amid rising tensions between Konoha and Iwagakure.

• Orochimaru and Shinnō escaped with Han and the Five-Tails, while Ōnoki learned of Iwagakure’s losses and proposed a Five Kage Summit.
• Zou Hyuga traded intelligence with Orochimaru for Five-Tails chakra as Shinnō activated the Sky Warship and attempted to create the Zero-Tails.
• Toneri attacked the Sky Warship, but Zou Hyuga fought him and Shinnō before the warship crashed into the sea and Shinnō fled.
• Kisame captured Shinnō and brought him to Kirigakure, where Zou Hyuga negotiated for his technology and medical ninjutsu and Kisame became a Mizukage candidate.
• Zou Hyuga recruited Suigetsu, negotiated with Oyashiro En for war supplies, and freed imprisoned kekkei genkai ninja from Oyashiro En’s base.
• Zou Hyuga failed to capture Killer B, while Obito attacked Otogakure to seize Han and Orochimaru summoned Hashirama and Tobirama to fight him.
• Hashirama battled Pain, but Nagato sealed him in Planetary Devastation and the Akatsuki captured the Five-Tails as the Eight-Tails hunt failed.
• Zou Hyuga and the Fire Squad arrived at the Five Kage Summit, where Hiruzen Sarutobi and Ōnoki clashed before Mifune intervened.

The Five Kage assaulted Amegakure, but Nagato used their absence to launch an attack on Konoha and seize Naruto. Minato and Kushina helped defend the village before leaving with Naruto, while Danzo’s revelations unsettled the Uchiha and the Akatsuki regrouped after retreating.

• Mei Terumi revealed Akatsuki’s plans, and the Kage agreed to raid Amegakure with elite teams while Orochimaru infiltrated the expedition disguised as a Sunagakure subordinate.
• The allied shinobi attacked Amegakure, where Zou Hyuga fought the Kage’s forces and the Five Kage eventually learned that Pain and Konan had imprisoned and mistreated Rain Ninja.
• Nagato ordered the Akatsuki to attack Konoha while the Five Kage were away, and Jiraiya, Danzo, Fugaku, and other defenders fought the invaders as Naruto disappeared from his guarded home.
• Kushina and Minato found Naruto and helped Konoha’s defenders battle the Six Paths of Pain, while the Akatsuki failed to capture Naruto and retreated.
• Jiraiya let Minato, Kushina, and Naruto leave Konoha after learning that their resurrection was incomplete, and the Third Hokage and village leaders suspected Orochimaru had brought them back.
• Danzo exposed the Sharingan implanted in his arm and confessed to past schemes, while Fugaku and the Uchiha reconsidered their conduct and discussed policies for the clan.
• Oto told Zou Hyuga that Itachi’s eye power had reached the threshold for awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan, and Zou sent his gathered information to his original body.
• The injured Akatsuki members regrouped in a cave, where Nagato began a post-battle meeting and privately worried that using his Rinnegan was draining his life force.

Zou Hyuga seized Nagato’s Rinnegan, recruited Nagato, Konan, and Oto Uchiha, then led them against Otsutsuki Toneri. He followed Toneri and Fū to the moon, where Toneri awakened the Tenseigan and struck Zou with Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion.

• Nagato and Obito fought over the Rinnegan until Zou Hyuga intervened, took Nagato’s remaining eye, and refused Obito’s offer to join forces.
• Zou found Nagato and Konan, restored Nagato’s sight with Sharingan, and offered to help resurrect Yahiko while recruiting them to oppose the hidden Ōtsutsuki organization.
• Zou studied the Six Paths of Pain and later learned that Toneri had taken the Seven-Tails Jinchuriki, so he gathered Nagato, Konan, and Oto Uchiha to confront him.
• Oto battled Toneri with her Susanoo and the Nine-Tails, but Toneri escaped with Fū after Oto’s chakra ran low.
• Zou followed Toneri and Fū through the Earth-Moon Passage, explored the lunar ruins, and enlisted a Main Family spirit to guide him toward Toneri.
• Toneri placed a pair of byakugan in his eye sockets and began awakening the tenseigan as Zou approached the Great Tenseigan.
• Toneri destroyed the palace complex with Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, and Zou survived the blast with injuries.
• Zou fought Toneri while Fū and Chōmei watched, then headed toward the Great Tenseigan as Toneri unleashed Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion and engulfed him.

Zou Hyuga took control of the Great Tenseigan, learned from Hamura about the threat beyond the Shinobi World, and gathered allies against Madara and the Ōtsutsuki. The arc ended with Zou, Orochimaru, and Minato arriving to meet Tobirama, who raised his sword to protect Kushina.

• Zou Hyuga defeated Toneri, took control of the Great Tenseigan, and met Hamura, who warned him about his Karma and entrusted him with the duty of protecting the Shinobi World.
• Zou and Oto Uchiha returned to the surface and encountered Obito, Nagato, and Konan as their rival plans for the Rinnegan and Ten-Tails took shape.
• Hiruzen discovered Danzo’s experiments, abolished Root, and prepared to undergo Hashirama cell surgery while Naruto reunited with Minato and Kushina.
• Zou examined Toneri’s cells and Uchiha Shin, then learned that Obito had attacked Orochimaru and the reanimated Hokage in the desert.
• Obito battled Hashirama and Tobirama, but Tobirama escaped and later disappeared through a spatial rift after confronting Amado in Amegakure.
• Orochimaru joined Zou’s effort against Madara and the Starry Sky Ōtsutsuki Clan, while Tobirama’s Shadow Clone returned to Konoha to warn Minato.
• Minato led Zou and Orochimaru through the Flying Thunder God Array to Tobirama, who drew his sword and shielded Kushina.
