After hearing Mei Ling Hyuga's words, Ruri nodded blankly, then smiled at her and said, "Okay, Aunt Meiling, I'll bring Neji over to eat right now!"
It really did smell like it. Just what was that pot of soup Aunt Meiling brought out of the kitchen? Why did it seem to have a fishy smell? Are we having stewed fish soup for lunch today? Ruri thought after carefully recalling the aroma of the food he had just smelled.
Ruri shook his head and stopped thinking about it. He walked over to Neji Hyuga, picked him up, and said with a smile, "So stop playing for now and come eat! Mommy made lots of delicious food for lunch today!"
The moment Neji Hyuga heard about delicious food, a smile appeared on his face. He bounced a few times in Ruri's arms before Ruri carried him over to the dining table.
"All right, stop fooling around, Neji. Sit down and eat!" Ruri said as he put Neji Hyuga on a chair and had him sit down.
After getting Neji Hyuga settled, Ruri turned to look at the delicious food on the table.
Mei Ling Hyuga had prepared a whole tableful of delicious dishes today. Almost all of them were favorites of Ruri and Neji Hyuga, though of course there were also a few dishes she loved herself.
"Wow, I guessed right! Today's main dish really is fish soup! I've never smelled fish soup with an aroma like that before! Just from its smell, I can tell this soup must taste great, and the fish in it must be really tender too!" Ruri said with a smile after taking a careful look at the large pot of fish soup Mei Ling Hyuga had just brought out.
