After entering his bedroom, Ruri gently closed the door and walked over to the bed.
Aunt Meiling, honestly! Why did she have to go browsing at the supermarket for no reason? And the supermarket happened to be holding a big sale today. She bought so much compressed food and actually thought I could take it all with me! Ruri thought as he reached the bed and picked up a few pieces of clothing.
Women really are terrifying! With a big sale like that, the supermarket must have been packed. And Aunt Meiling still managed to snatch up so much stuff. That really couldn't have been easy! Ruri then thought, smiling helplessly.
Then Ruri began sorting out the clothes he had picked up from the bed.
Ruri did not know the exact location or details of the mission he was heading out on this time. If, as he suspected, he really did have to travel somewhere far away for it, none of these preparations would be wasted. So he planned to bring a little more with him now, to avoid having to come back and pack later.
"This really is such a hassle, having to take so much stuff!" Ruri said impatiently after packing a few pieces of clothing.
"Forget it, forget it. I'll pack my equipment first and get back to the clothes and everything else in a bit!" Ruri put the garment he had folded down on the bed, then walked over to his equipment nearby.
Once there, Ruri looked at the short blade, Thousand Mechanisms. The corners of his mouth lifted slightly, and he smiled.
"Just thinking about us fighting side by side on the battlefield makes me so happy! Tomorrow, we'll head out to the battlefield. I'll definitely let you cut loose and slaughter enemies everywhere!" Ruri
