Time really flies. In the blink of an eye, the whole day has gone by! It's almost evening already! I've spent the entire day weaving through the trees. I'm exhausted! Ruri thought as he moved among the towering trees.
All afternoon, the five of them had kept weaving through the trees, quickening their pace so they could deliver the scroll to their comrades on the front line as soon as possible.
But that afternoon had left Ruri utterly exhausted, and now he could barely stay on his feet.
Up ahead, Kakashi stopped to look after the teammates behind him and said, "We've been traveling all afternoon without even realizing it. Let's take a break now. Judging by the sun, it should be almost evening!"
Hearing Kakashi's words, the four of them nodded, then followed him down from the trees to the ground.
The moment Ruri landed on the ground, his legs shook uncontrollably, and he sank to the ground.
"We've been traveling all afternoon. I'm practically dead on my feet! I'm dog-tired, and now I feel like these legs don't even belong to me anymore!" Sitting on the ground, Ruri pressed his hands against his legs as he spoke to Kakashi and the other three.
As expected, Uchiha Itachi and Uzuki Yugao were just like Ruri. Their legs trembled, and they sat down on the ground without moving. They, too, now felt as though their legs no longer belonged to them.
"It's just like Ruri said. I can't feel any pain or soreness in my legs now! It really feels like these legs don't belong to me anymore!" Uzuki Yugao said to Kakashi and the others, sitting on the ground and continually pounding her legs with her hands.
Indeed, the five of them had spent the entire afternoon weaving through
