"Ruri, you're back! Did you find anything around here?" Kakashi walked over to Ruri and asked with a smile.
Ruri nodded, then said to Kakashi, "Captain, I just made a big circuit around the area and found no sign of the enemy! I gathered plenty of mushrooms and some vegetables and things. Toward the end, I noticed movement in the grass. When I went closer to look, I found three rabbits, so I brought them all back!"
After Ruri finished speaking, Kakashi turned to look at Uzuki Yugao, who was preparing the three rabbits.
"Nice work, Ruri. Killing three rabbits in the dark like this really isn't easy!" Yamato walked over to Ruri and said with a smile.
Ruri smiled and nodded, then said to the others, "It's actually pretty strange. Let's sit down and talk about it!"
With that, Ruri walked over to the pile of firewood and sat down.
Then Ruri held out his palm and slowly gathered fire-nature chakra, and a ball of flame appeared in his hand.
Once the flame had fully formed, Ruri placed it beneath the pile of firewood, which instantly caught fire.
After seeing Ruri set all the firewood alight, the others came over and sat down beside the fire as well.
"Captain, when you were up in the tree just now, did you notice anything unusual around us?" Once Ruri saw Kakashi sit down beside him, he asked with a smile.
Kakashi shook his head, then said quietly to Ruri, "I spent a long time observing from the tree just now. I didn't notice any activity around us, except for some caused by animals! I found no sign of any enemies!"
Ruri nodded, then said softly, "So that's how it is. That's good, too. At least we can get some proper rest
