About ten minutes had passed. At that point, Ruri stood up, took a spoon, and walked over to the cooking pot. He lifted the lid and looked at the meat inside.
After checking its color, a slight smile appeared on Ruri's face. Then he scooped up a small piece of meat with the spoon, put it in his mouth, and tasted it.
Not bad. The flavor is a little off, but adding some salt in a moment will fix that! I didn't expect my cooking to still be this good. It hasn't slipped at all! Ruri set the spoon aside, then took the pot off the heat and thought with a smile as he looked at the meat inside.
After setting the pot on the ground, Ruri stepped aside, picked up some salt, and sprinkled it into the pot.
"All right, come over and eat. It's getting late, so let's get some rest early after we finish!" After sprinkling the salt into the pot, Ruri smiled and called to his teammates.
Hearing Ruri's call, Kakashi and the other three took out their utensils and walked over to him.
"Wow, that smells amazing! I never expected Ruri's cooking to really smell this good!" Uchiha Itachi said in surprise after walking over to Ruri and smelling the meat in the pot.
After Kakashi walked over to Ruri, he took a sniff and said, "It smells wonderful, just as Ruri said! And this is my first time eating his cooking."
Yamato walked over to Ruri, looked at the meat in the pot, and said with a smile, "It's not just Captain Kakashi. This is my first time eating Ruri's cooking too!"
"I'm going to eat loads and loads in a moment, or I'd be letting my stomach down!"
