No, it wasn't just the fact that I wasn't sleepy that was strange. Everything that happened these past few days was strange, whether it was those animals with no sense of self-preservation or feeling full of energy after sleeping for only a little while! All of it was very strange! I had no idea what was going on with this mission, Ruri thought as he watched the sun about to rise.
"Forget it, forget it. No more thinking about this. All these things are very beneficial to me anyway! Besides, I'm not the sort to get to the bottom of everything, and these things aren't all that strange!" Ruri shook his head to clear it, then spoke.
At that moment, Ruri walked over to the pot, lifted the lid, and took a spoon to check what was inside.
"This smells so good. Looks like making soup with wild boar meat was a pretty good choice! Preparing the meat was a bit of a hassle, but it was all worth it!" Ruri said with a smile after sniffing the aroma drifting out of the pot.
"Why does this soup look so pale? Should I add some soy sauce or something to give it some color? I just feel like soup without color has no soul!" Ruri said with a smile after noticing where the soup fell short.
With that, Ruri walked over to the gear he had brought, opened his backpack, and rummaged through it.
Two minutes later, Ruri pulled a small bottle of something like soy sauce from the bottom of his gear bag.
"Finally found you. I brought this bottle from Aunt Meiling's house. I wouldn't take it out unless the circumstances were special!" Ruri said with a smile as he looked at the little bottle in his hand.
