At that moment, Ruri activated his Byakugan and observed the people heading toward him.
"Great, just as I expected. Those people really are the Captain and the others. They're finally back! I was getting impatient waiting here!" After confirming once more that they were Kakashi and the others, Ruri smiled and spoke quietly.
"They were gone for such a long time! I wonder why. Could the enemies' hiding place be very far from here?" Ruri stood beneath the large tree, watching Kakashi approach him as he murmured to himself.
Meanwhile, Kakashi and the others had reached Ruri, and they all briefly straightened up their appearance.
"Captain, you're finally back! Why were you gone so long? Did something happen?" Ruri slowly walked over to Kakashi and asked with a smile.
After hearing what Ruri had just said, Kakashi shook his head and said quietly, "Nothing happened, Ruri. Following those two enemies to their main force took us quite a while. But fortunately, we found where their main force was. I have to say, their hiding place really was far away!"
"That's right, Ruri. You have no idea how good those enemies are at hiding. An ordinary person really wouldn't be able to find their hiding place. If we hadn't followed those two enemies, there's no way we could have found it!" After hearing what Kakashi had just said, Uchiha immediately came over to Ruri's side and spoke to him with a smile.
