"Thank you so much! If it weren't for you, this thief would have gotten away with it," the woman said loudly and happily to Ruri and the others as she clutched her bag.
"It's all right. We were just doing what we should. Check your bag and see if anything important is missing," Kakashi said to her with a smile after hearing her words.
Ruri leaned his head close to Uchiha Itachi and whispered, "I didn't expect that auntie to have such a loud voice."
After hearing what Ruri said, Uchiha Itachi whispered back with a smile, "You're telling me. Look at her, she's as round as a ball. Without us, that thief probably would have gotten clean away by now."
"You two, stop chatting about that here. It wouldn't be nice if she heard you. She might tell you off again," Uzuki Yugao said with a smile as she stood beside them.
"Got it, Yugao. But I really wonder what that auntie lost. I hope it was something valuable, or all our effort would have been wasted," Ruri said mischievously.
"Even if it wasn't anything valuable, this was still what we should have done. How does that saying go? When you see injustice, draw your sword and lend a hand," Uzuki Yugao said quietly, turning back toward him after hearing his words.
By then, Yamato had already notified the Military Police Force, which sent two officers over to bring the thief to justice.
After checking her bag, the woman said happily, "Thank you so much! Nothing in my bag is missing. And I haven't lost my most precious thing, either."
As she spoke, the woman pulled a large chunk of soy-braised beef out of her bag. It was clear that she loved eating meat, which suited her figure perfectly.
