After a mysterious ninja defeats Ruri’s attack and threatens to kill him in a future encounter, Ruri spends time with his friends and family before earning and mastering new abilities. The stretch leaves him appreciating his bonds and preparing for his upcoming Anbu work with Uchiha Itachi.

• Ruri killed four ninjas, but their leader evaded his Rasengan and vanished after warning that their next meeting would be the day Ruri died.
• Uchiha Itachi blocked chakra-marked kunai that pursued Ruri, and Ruri vowed to grow stronger alongside his friends.
• Ruri grilled fish for his friends, shared memories of characters from Hokage, and admitted that he was happy to have friends in his new life.
• Ruri returned to Mei Ling Hyuga’s home, spent time with Neji Hyuga, then trained in the Ring and gained Intangibility and Big Ball Rasengan.
