After spotting the figure ahead, Miss Auspicious Beast stopped, her golden eyes studying her curiously.
As far as she remembered, Zi JI was quite the homebody. Under normal circumstances, she barely ever left her territory unless something important came up.
At the sound of the Auspicious Beast's voice, Zi JI paused, then smiled faintly. "There was a bit of a disturbance here just now, so I came to take a look. But what about you, my little Auspicious Beast? What brings you here?"
As she spoke, Zi JI flashed over to the Auspicious Beast and reached out to pinch her cheek.
Miss Auspicious Beast shifted slightly to the side, dodging Zi JI's wicked claws.
With her current speed, Zi JI could no longer get her hands on her as easily as before.
"I came to find Zeng Tian. Big Sister Zi JI, have you seen him?"
Miss Auspicious Beast looked at Zi JI as she asked.
At those words, Zi JI's pupils shifted slightly before she chuckled. "I know where Zeng Tian went. But this isn't the place to talk. Let's go somewhere else."
With that, Zi JI flew in the direction Zeng Tian had left.
Seeing this, Miss Auspicious Beast hesitated, but followed her anyway.
She wanted to see just what Zi JI was up to.
With her speed, getting back wouldn't take much time anyway.
