Background / History

Sitting Mountain Guest originated from an artifact-forging sect on the Origin Continent. His talent allowed him to exceed the sect’s existing methods and attain God King status, after which he established the Jin Kingdom. Li Che regards his former life as that of a craftsman who would have preferred a peaceful home with his wife and children 146.

The Food Kingdom’s three God Kings destroyed Jin, leaving Sitting Mountain Guest as its sole survivor. His subsequent actions were driven by revenge. He came to the Universe Ocean intending to risk enslaving a World Beast king as a possible means of achieving that goal 146.

After reincarnating as a special lifeform, he roamed the Primal Universe from the beginning of the current reincarnation era. He sheltered numerous special lifeforms and developed powerful servants, while nurturing the Yan God Race and modifying the Earthling lineage 21 147 151.

Jin World is the Miniature Universe inside his former body. Its native powerhouses remained utterly loyal to him, but those who left faced death under the Supreme Rule. Recognizing Jin’s techniques in Manhu’s inheritance revived his grief for these people, whom he thought of as his children 144.

Normally mysterious, detached, and difficult to unsettle, Sitting Mountain Guest is deeply affected by reminders of Jin. Puti had never seen his teacher display the sorrow and helplessness brought on by Manhu’s artifact-refining inheritance 138 144.

He evaluates successors primarily by their potential to help him achieve revenge. Rather than formally taking Li Che as a personally raised disciple, he treats their arrangement as an investment and demands proof that Li Che deserves his resources. Once satisfied, he stops pressing for explanations of Li Che’s unusual abilities and focuses on their results 146 149.

His detachment is not absolute. Despite losing confidence in the Yan Emperor, he retains affection for the disciple he raised and refuses to let the Human Race’s strongest beings kill him 171.

He has little interest in the Primal Universe’s racial struggles. Joining his lineage does not require Li Che to abandon humanity or act against it; his criticism of the Yan Emperor’s defection concerns the enemies and limitations it created, rather than betrayal itself 146 171.
