Time flowed like water. In the blink of an eye, an era had passed-more than ten thousand years.

"Man, my luck this era wasn't great. All I got was ten ordinary Supreme Treasures, two top-tier sets of valuable treasures, and a few other valuable treasures." Yang Hao sighed.

His gains could only be described as mediocre. One reason was that word of the Qian Wu Country Lord becoming a Universe Overlord had gradually spread throughout the universe.

Whenever alien Venerables encountered the Qian Wu Country Lord while competing for Supreme Treasures, they turned and fled for their lives. They had no intention of fighting him over the treasures.

Without the Supreme Treasures carried by those other Venerables, his gains were considerably smaller. Coupled with his poor luck and the relatively few treasure emergences he encountered, that was all he had acquired in ten thousand years.

"Whatever. If I didn't get any Supreme Treasures, I'll just count it as cultivation. Besides, the Primal Stars will stay open for a long time yet-nearly eight hundred eras. There'll be plenty of chances." Yang Hao reconsidered. Good and bad luck were normal. Could his luck possibly be worse than the old Qian Wu's? Surely not. Surely he couldn't still be as unlucky as before.

Rumble!

Suddenly, an extraordinarily powerful fluctuation swept over him. Its overwhelming aura was unlike anything Yang Hao had encountered since he began exploring the Primal Stars.

"What a powerful aura! It's stronger than any Supreme Treasure emergence I've encountered." A trace of astonishment flashed in Yang Hao's eyes.

Judging by the disturbance, could a top-tier Supreme Treasure be emerging?

A top-tier Supreme Treasure was an exceptionally formidable treasure. Even many Universe Masters used combat Supreme Treasures of only that level.

An emerging treasure of this caliber would therefore draw quite a few powerful contenders.

"To hell with it. Fortune favors the bold. I'll go take a look first." Yang Hao gritted his teeth, stamped his foot, and charged straight toward it.

"What's going on? That aura is incredible. It's a top-tier Supreme Treasure!"

"Go! A top-tier Supreme Treasure is emerging!"

The aura was not only intense but spread incredibly far. In an instant, half the entire Primal Star could sense the emerging Supreme Treasure.

The emergence site was not far from Yang Hao, and he soon flew there.

But he was not the first to arrive. More than ten Venerables were already waiting.

An enormous temple was breaking through the ground in the wilderness. Over a thousand kilometers across, it rose from beneath the earth like a colossal mountain.

"Tsk, tsk. A top-tier Supreme Treasure's emergence really is something else." Yang Hao smacked his lips as he studied the enormous hall. From the looks of it, it would not finish emerging anytime soon.

"That's Qian Wu of the human race! Be careful, everyone. He's a Universe Overlord now." The alien Venerables eyed Qian Wu's three-hundred-meter-tall divine body warily.

"What? Qian Wu is a Universe Overlord already? Isn't he the universe's biggest debtor?" Another Venerable, whose information was less current, cautiously sent a voice transmission to the one who had just spoken.

"That's ancient history. Who knows what kind of dumb luck Qian Wu stumbled into, but he's ridiculously strong now. See his divine body? A full three hundred meters tall. He used to be only three meters. What do you think?" Several of them exchanged hushed voice transmissions behind his back.

Yang Hao watched them move away from him to another side and could not be bothered with them.

Competing for this emerging top-tier Supreme Treasure would be dangerous even for Universe Overlords. A bunch of Universe Venerables could do little more than watch.

Whoosh!

Another powerful aura swept in.

Yang Hao looked over and saw a figure ten meters tall, with a shining bald head, two legs, and a full eight arms. His entire body looked metallic, without a single hair-the very picture of a member of the Machine Race.

"Venerable Entropyfall, a Universe Overlord of the Machine Race. He possesses an extremely powerful set of mechanical treasures." Yang Hao's gaze settled on the Machine Race expert.

"Qian Wu?" Venerable Entropyfall said upon landing and spotting Yang Hao.

"Entropyfall," Yang Hao replied, looking at him.

Although the races behind them shared immense hatred, this was not the time to fight. The hall had not even fully emerged. Wasting divine power on a battle would only benefit someone else.

Even so, the two kept a considerable distance from each other.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Streaks of light flew in as Universe Venerables arrived in groups. But upon seeing the two Universe Overlords, their eyes filled with apprehension, and they stopped some distance away.

"Haha, the Machine Race and the humans are both here. Looks like our demon race should join the fun too." The speaker was a two-headed expert of the demon race.

He was a Space-Time Nightmare Beast, a member of one of the demon race's eighteen imperial clans. Ten kilometers tall, he had four thick, powerful hoofed limbs and a body covered in scales. Of his two heads, one had golden eyes and the other silver eyes. The golden eyes could affect space, while the silver eyes could affect time. When both were used together, they exerted considerable control over the surrounding space-time.

Although his divine body was not particularly large by Demon Race standards, the Space-Time Nightmare Beast's innate talents allowed him to exert a degree of control over space-time. Even if that influence had little effect on powerful opponents, fighting within the space-time he controlled greatly enhanced his own combat strength.

"Demon Venerable Wild Nightmare, a veteran Universe Overlord of the demon race. He's very strong." Yang Hao looked at the two-headed demon expert.

That was not the end of it.

Several more Universe Overlords arrived right afterward: two from the Northern Border Alliance, one from the Thorn Ring Alliance, and another from the Snow Frontier Alliance.

"The Northern Border Alliance actually has two Universe Overlords here. If they join forces when the fight for the treasure starts, their chances will be much better." Yang Hao looked at the two Universe Overlords from the Northern Border Alliance.

According to the information he had, their strength was average among Universe Overlords. Still, there were two of them, which made them a serious problem.

Of course, the palace had yet to emerge completely. From the looks of it, there was no telling how long they would have to wait.

Besides, the process of competing for a Supreme Treasure that emerged with a palace varied from case to case. Everyone had a chance.

Whoosh!

In the sky appeared a figure with an elk-like head, a divine body radiating ten-colored light, and nine tails behind him. Wherever he flew, he left a trail of rainbow light.

"This..." Yang Hao focused his gaze. Isn't that Venerable Liangzhu, the Special Lifeform I encountered before? I even snatched Luohua Hall from him. Though from the looks of it, he must have gone easy on me—extremely easy.

This Special Lifeform from the Ancestral God Cult had a life gene level of six thousand times and a divine body over a thousand kilometers tall. The moment he appeared, every expert present turned to look at him.

He landed directly beside Yang Hao.

"Has the Palace Supreme Treasure been useful?" Venerable Liangzhu asked casually through a voice transmission.

"Uh, it's been quite useful." Yang Hao had no idea what he was getting at, so he simply went along with the conversation.

After a pause, Venerable Liangzhu continued, "You're probably puzzled. You were nowhere near a match for me, yet you managed to take a treasure from my hands."

"It's just that when I met you before, I actually felt a faint sense of kinship in my bloodline."

"Kinship?" Yang Hao was bewildered. How could he share a sense of bloodline kinship with a Special Lifeform?

"That really was the case. I find it rather unbelievable myself," Venerable Liangzhu said. "But I am a Special Lifeform, after all, and the only one of my kind in the entire universe. Do you understand what I mean?"

"I was wondering whether we could become friends, on account of that faint sense of kinship." Venerable Liangzhu looked at Yang Hao.

What? What is any of this supposed to mean? Yang Hao could not make sense of it. Wait, could it have something to do with my check-in system? Unfortunately, it's been down for more than two hundred eras and still hasn't recovered.

He had no way to know. After pondering it for a while, he felt that a connection to the check-in system was perhaps the likeliest explanation.

"Meeting again must be fate. I'd certainly be happy to be friends." Yang Hao smiled.

Venerable Liangzhu was an expert of the Ancestral God Cult, so there was nothing wrong with befriending him. Besides, having a Special Lifeform as a friend would be rather nice.
