Background / History

Yang Hao was an ordinary young man in his twenties before transmigrating into the body of the Qian Wu Country Lord. He retained knowledge of the original Swallowed Star story while acquiring the memories of one of humanity’s earliest powerhouses. The inherited Qian Wu had helped expand humanity’s territory, but had become notorious for overwhelming debts 1.

Initially, Yang Hao considered relying on Luo Feng’s future success to repay those debts, potentially by taking him as a disciple. The activation of his check-in system instead gave him Hunyuan Ten Turns and a direct route to improving his own strength. He entrusted the country’s administration to the Seventh Prince, supported by the Eighteen Divine Generals, and began preparing for seclusion 1.

Assimilating Qian Wu’s memories took ten days; mastering the inherited body took almost five years. Although he possessed Qian Wu’s skills, Yang Hao later insisted on creating secret techniques of his own rather than relying entirely on his predecessor’s work 2 5.

Appearance

Personality

Yang Hao is opportunistic and willing to exploit an opponent’s assumptions. Early on, he deliberately conceals his increased strength behind Qian Wu’s reputation as an impoverished, unlucky Venerable. He also agrees to cooperate with demon Venerables while preparing to turn against them 3 4 10.

Despite using that reputation tactically, he dislikes owing others. Clearing Qian Wu’s debts removes a substantial psychological burden, and he prioritizes repaying friends before the race’s outstanding claim during his early treasure hunts 6 8.

He is an attentive but demanding teacher. He examines Huiyun’s character as well as her progress, equips his students without unnecessarily making them targets, and reprimands Qian Ming for stagnating. He accepts that real experience is necessary, allowing Huiyun to leave secluded cultivation and sending Qian Ming to the Outer Domain Battlefield 16 17 18 33 34.

His ambition develops beyond personal wealth. He seeks stronger disciples and subordinates, connects his own advancement with humanity’s prosperity, and eventually accepts that repeated treasure battles cannot replace sustained cultivation 18 20 44.
